Tried putting Juniez's AR2 (It was done by him, right) into MMod, and I see these flashes (EPILEPSY WARNING).
Does anybody know a potential fix? Also, I have to say, I'm not sure if I prefer Juniez's better model over MMod's punchy animations, never thought I'd say that.

the face is the default position for when things aren't positioned correctly. so it's likely safe to assume there's a missing bone or attachment or emitter or whatever the lingo is.
I would recommend using this: Juniez's AR2 on MMod animations
Download the "juniez_ar2_mmod_particles.rar" file too and have that overwrite the existing files of the skin. It replaces the viewmodel with an updated one that has support for MMod particles (so that the particles look beautiful and don't cause epilepsy either). It has all the added MMod animations as well, such as: sprinting, walking and inspect animations.
I think this skin is pretty good, but it's missing the yellow flashing of the core and pellets when firing and doesn't have that animated pulsing texture for the pellets either.
I got that too because my custom folder had a tweaked AR2 model in it that I forgot about. I disabled particle muzzle flashes because I thought it was intentional to 'wow' the player or someshit
I don't remember who requested this But I tried my best, unfortunately the camera spatters around when doing the reloading animations.

I want to see some sort of fever dream version of half life 2 that's just the main campaign but all the enemies have these unique weird secondary abilities just to keep you on your toes.
Imagine the Ravenholm defense sequences complete with rappelling zombies.
Imagine reversing all the enemy types, e.g normal headcrabs are poisoned, normal zombies get down on all fours and pounce you
that reminds me how so many things are possible in HL2 if you just give stuff the necessary animations.

Oddly I can see this type of thing happening in some kind of Crack-Life mod. Imagine you cear a room and about 30 fast zombies rappel from every wall.

Yeah I noticed, I think it's because the suit now makes a shuffling sound in addition to the footsteps.
First you install Minerva itself and probably run it once just to be sure. Then download MMod 1.2 to your sourcemods folder, put the Minerva submod alongside other things, and then get the Minerva MMod fix that's alongside the downloads. Once you can get MMod running, Minerva will boot up through the Half-Life 2 MMod option in your Steam games list.
I find MMod pretty impressive. It feels like they managed to add every single shooter convention created in the past decade without actually changing the gameplay of HL2. I guess that says a lot about stagnation in a lot of FPS games but it also reminds me I dont actually like HL2's gameplay so yea I couldn't force myself to play past the airboat part again so idk if MMod has like a VR sex orgy at Black Mesa East or some shit.
You also need Source SDK Base 2013, or at least it wouldn't launch until I downloaded it. Only game that requires that though (haven't tried CM13).
