They should make fatal blow brutalities. Finish the match with one holding the buttons, get a lethal version. Such as Kabal’s hook through the mouth swing at the end ripping their head off instead of knocking them over head.

Not gonna lie, the Kung Lao one is kinda lame. The best fatalities have enough of a rhythm to them that you never have time to think "fuckin' hell dude, I think you got him" before it's over. That Jax Fatal Blow is just brilliant though.
Yeahhh but you've got to admit, there's only so much you can do with a hat. He's sliced and diced opponents in so many ways over the series that it's bound to get old at some point.
I get that his hat is his 'thing', but not it's not like he HAS to use it or even have it be the main focus of every fatal. They could do something with those fast ass punches he does maybe.
Even if he has to use the hat, it doesn't have to be about how creatively he can chop your shit, I've always had this idea where he places/throws his hat onto an opponents head and then does his teleport and effectively tele-frags them.

Boon figured out that spectacle sells, story swells. The fact that normals exist essentially to either 50/50 or solely to bridge specials and other features take precedence every version to a degree that you have to literally relearn everything, every time.
Tekken actually has changed a huge amount except for motion and spacing control, and ususally for the better and that's why it's still king. High execution bar, not fucking with the base motion and kinaesthetics, saving utterly weird shit for non canon design vehicles, but always moving forward in other areas.
MK also skews 10 years younger in average demographics now, and the community reflects that really really hard. really hard.
