im getting a bit fed up of people rage quitting just as i beat them online and it not counting as a win on my end. i dont consider myself good at this game at all so its not like I win often, and when i do 9/10 times they'll just quit
The problem is that this ranking is not static, its based literally on every other players scores. I was in the top 1% yesterday and am down to 2.5% today. If you don't continue to play towers and new ones have many stages you may have dropped out of that tier entirely. Not to mention character towers are all 25k and people just got a ton of free koins to open them with.
While that's true, a lot of people remained in the appropriate percentile until it ended and never got any of the rewards, so there's probably some sort of server issue with the reward distribution. I didn't get even at least the time crystals and I'm absolutely sure I was at least in the 4% percentile during the last 10 minutes of the Race Against Time.

See thing is, I didn't even get rewards for being in the 99% (and I was definitely in the 3-4% range). I literally got nothing.
Also now, I'm getting a glitch with the Krypt where donating 75k koins is giving me the same 3-4 pieces of Kitana and Skarlet's gear over and over again if I don't get an augment instead.
I feel like I'm playing a Bethesda game but with no modding community to save me
Is the chest to the left of the forge supposed to keep respawning or is that a bug? I've been getting forge items, augments & art from it.

Stealth cvar patch!
They seem to have done a widespread stealth nerf to a few things this evening. Character tower requirements have been drastically reduced in all stages, their requirements are being given in other game modes as well. Character heads are now coming from fatalities and brutalities, from all game modes, and seems to have been reduced as well.
My AI is farming while I'm eating and browsing reddit and I'm getting heads after every match now

How do I git gud at playing defensively? I feel like I have a real inclination to just attack blindly, but I also feel like I'm not good enough at blocking to bide my time. Like, better I just constantly throw out kombo and hope it lands than block and wait for an opening, because it's only a matter of time before I get opened up like a can of beans. But this is obviously not the best strategy, so... yeah.
Even after the last three games I still can't wrap my head around pre-loading a combo. Like I want to press the next button after the first move ends, not immediately after I've done the input for it
I can't even do combos properly in an online match. I always panic and forget the combo or straight up press the wrong button.
Part of me feels like this is standard Mortal Kombat "let's literally just fucking lie to the playerbase so they're hyped when they realize it's all a ruse", another part of me feels like this means Bruce Campbell isn't doing the voice.
Because, like, the files were found IN THE GAME. Right? It was datamined. This Kombat Pack leak isn't your usual "trust me my dad works at Nintendo" type thing. I think they even found dialog, right? Unless "Ash" is just a placeholder name for someone else, this seems kinda dubious.
Ash could be short for Ashley, or meant literally. We got characters like smoke, tremor, blaze, sub-zero, rain, and reptile which are all fairly evocative of what elements they represent or what they are.
Ash Williams could even be Ashley Williams from mass effect (no way), Ash from Warframe(weird choice so no), Ashrah from MK(weird shorthand)
A Possibility that could be real is Ash(Ian Holm, Alien) given the past tie-in but again its a weird choice.
Yeah plus bruce has been known to flip flop on his statements a lot, i'm gonna remain skeptical until all of the packs have been released.
It even references “the book” directly, it’s definitely AoD Ash.

My hopeful conspiracy theorist guess is that they had him lie to cover up the datamine since they absolutely hate having things leaked and this is a pretty bad one like it was before the game even came out officially.
My other guess is they are dicks and purposely put misleading things in the files that people actually wanted(unlike injustice 2 where it was just goofy shit nobody asked for).

There are tons of lines for characters in the game's files (Coalesced.eng specifically). Unless the devs decided to spend an unhealthy amount of time putting all this in the game for "teh lulz" I'm fairly certain it's legit.

AoD Ash would make more sense for MK tbh, but I wouldn't be surprised of AvsTED Ash was an alternate skin.
