Time rips as multiverse events would make the offline/single player content have a lot more bang since the story for MKX was like 6 hours
So uhhhh, Kano has kind of been confirmed... In a goofy way. So obviously the Kombat Kast was meant to debut yesterday and reveal some shit. There was also a Brazilian reveal today, and I guess they either didn't get the memo that Kano hasn't been confirmed yet or they just don't care, cause one of the things they showed off was a new Kano skin

Is it me or is this Kano looking severely twiggy compared to his previous iterations.
The brazil show was always planned, and I believe Ed Boon was present so it wasn't an accident.
It was in Portuguese so you may not have heard it, but they were showing his pirate skin because it is a Brazil game box exclusive DLC like Kold War Skarlet was for Russia.
Actually, and this is solely a wrestling fan observation, but he looks a shocking amount like Austin Aries compared to his other designs.

Yea that makes sense, and I can ofc only speculate what the Kombat Kast was/is going to consist of, but this still absolutely feels like something that was meant to be revealed after a proper character reveal. You don't really just go "btw kanos here and here he is dressed as a pirate!" right off the bat lol. But yea we'll find out Tuesday.
Actually, it isn't supposed to be a pirate themed skin. It supposed to be a Cangaco, a type of Brazilian bandit from the 1800's.

I'm conflicted about Kano.
On the one hand he looks kinda, I dunno, plain.
On the other, he reminds me a lot of his look in the movie

Hope Cena is at least okay at VA work because Sonya sounds like dog shit.
He isn't awful as a VA - he has no range and his cadence very rarely changes, but he's done a bunch of voice-acting work over the past few years. Right now he's doing one of the villains in the new TMNT show, and while you can tell from any line it's him reading, it's not noticeably bad or anything.
I thought John Cena might pop up eventually but I was thinking he'd be Johnny Cage, Stryker is much more fitting of a role for him.

Why do they radically change charatcer designs so much between games? Outfits, maybe designs I get, like Kabal getting a new mask, but that no-burn Kabal looks absolutely nothing like MK9 no-burn Kabal, same with a lot of the returning characters (namely Sonya). MK9-MK10 kind of had a good excuse of a huge artstyle change and shift, but they got the character designs pretty solid in MK10.
