Some of those slots are empty and we know secret characters are supposed to be in. Rep will likely be one given that it’d make the MK1 roster complete
I do really feed bad for NRS in certain ways but not others.
Dude who leaked stuff will 100% get fired and everyone's totally okay with it. NDA's exist for the sole purpose of not doing that shit so he deserves to be canned.
Am I surprised this happened? Not at all. MKX and MK9 had full roster leaks before release and NRS pulled through just fine. I'm sure they have things set up in expectation that the roster will leak at some point.
I am sort of on the side of "they took too long to spoonfeed this info". Less than 8 weeks until release and we have a solid 15-17 characters to see in action. I'm not sure how they plan to show off those things with the schedule they have already shown so far, unless March/April are packed with Kasts and constant info being released. This is also a mega positive for anyone who follows the leaks though, in the sense that hype for the game is now at an all time high. Everyone is SO excited to see what NRS will do with these characters based on what we've seen so far. This is both positive and negative in many ways. It sucks the info got out, but this happens every release. It is great for hyping the game because those who were going nuts can now put speculations to bed on whether or not x or y character will be in.
Reptile, Smoke, Rain, Sindel, Ermac, Havik and Fujin fans I'm sorry but there's always hope. I'm a mega fan of a few of those myself, but 2 packs of 6 DLC characters really raises your chances of having a favorite return.
There is a small chance this could be a fake leak. I say the only way to be sure is to see who gets confirmed next. If they appeared in the leak then it most likely is true.

Character designs are pretty wild this time around. I'm liking some of the more classic designs like Kano and some of Sonya's outfits, but those 2 leaked smurf looking motherfuckers sound like they're from different franchises altogether.
I do hope thatMileena leak is real, she's always been my favorite out of the ninja ladies.

if that 2nd one is who i think it is, then I guess that answers who our 2nd celeb actor is. Nobody knows what the 1st is tho but could just be a story mode NPC or a really fucked up version of Reptile . Or it could be both since the launch roster is supposed to have been set already, and they could just pull a Tanya and add him later as DLC.
As much as I would LOVE that second one to be real, IIRC there's a fan made render of C-H-T as Shang Tsung already out there so this could just be a screen from one of that artist's WIPs taken by some asshole and passing it off as a leak.

I wouldn't place too much hope in Kombat Packs though. Never forget that the likes of Fujin - a popular and much-requested character that was modelled, voiced and played a part in MKX's story - was shafted in favour of Jason Vorhees, Predator, Alien and Leatherface. There'll be some nice surprises in the packs for sure, but a fair portion will likely be tie-ins.
Also never forget that they stated repeat DLC isn't in their interest. We can basically expect no one that was DLC before to be in if they're not base roster.
i thought they were talking about only the previous entry dlcs? they stated that back on MKX dlcs they wouldnt resell DLC chars from MK9, but now maybe this applies only to MKX content but not for MK9?
This may sound dumb but, with that logic, unless they really pump out a lot of new characters into the franchise, eventually all the "classic fighters" and fan favourites cant be brought back as DLC anymore, making the DLC char pool less appealing to casuals?
Unless they do a Apocalypse-like roster with all the characters from the franchise for their next games, which Ed Boon seems to avoid for obvious reasons.
I haven't seen anything that hints that there's forgiveness for old entries, and even if there was, that's like two characters that aren't guests or confirmed for base from MK9.

I decided to buy MKX and registered for a Warner Bros account or whatever it's called. Upon completion it showed a pop up that had thousands of koins and new skins that I received apparently from registering. Upon entering the Krypt I noticed that I had received none of those koins. Is this a bug or did I not do something right?
Btw that second leak with the beast/possibly reptile character with the tail, rat legs and claws is a hoax from art station and is debunked
After playing the MKX story mode I really hope MK11 does a bit better. The MKX story wasn't bad, but I would've loved it if punching bag characters got actual characterization. It was the same problem that MK9 also had.
I would love to see villain tier characters get their own playable chapters. It would be great if Baraka got to interact with other characters in a way that doesn't involve trying to stab them.
That reminds me: Is there anybody else seem to see a disturbingly amount of people wanting Baraka and/or Mileena to get revenge on D'Vorah? Like I get having not liking your favorite character get killed (and by a new one nonetheless), but some stuff I've seen kind of came off as a little "creepy", to say the least.
well you'll probably be happy to know then that they swapped the SP campaign writer out for the guy that wrote the stellar MKX prequel comics. Everyone's pretty much got higher expectations for actual characterization this time around, so yea, fingers crossed.
