And this is the problem.
Why waste time picking a bunch of situational damage dealers with weird kits when you just pick big health hammer man and walk through the map.
"Why waste time picking a bunch of situational damage dealers" when the situation call for it. You said it yourself, they're situational.
It all comes down to the stupid rock paper scissors philosophy this game wish to enforce since the beginning. They were made so you pick them in case the enemy pick what they counters.
You waste time picking this situational Pharah to beat junkrat.
Maybe the real problems is that some characters are way too generalist and not niche enough.
Mei's that character that new people get killed by go "WTF, most broken thing ever" but then you realize she never really has that much of man impact on the game, and nearly every character has something almost as annoying.
According to my experience, every characters in any MOBA has something bullshitty.
Tell me any name from both DotA 2 and League of Legends, Smite and Paladins and I can give you a reason why I would find them cancerous and obnoxious to play against.
It's just that some characters are more bullshitty than other, and they're the one pointed at.
When I say situational I mean yes there are certain situations where they are viable, the issue is the dominant meta in the game is a situation that invalidates 90% of the damage roster. The whole rock paper scissors concept the game was build around falls apart when both players agree to never pick paper or scissors and just punch each other in the face for 10 minutes.
Your experience is incorrect then
also Overwatch isn't a MOBA. It's an FPS that wants to be a MOBA
Of course it's not a MOBA, I never considered Overwatch a MOBA, it's just that I'm comparing it with the other games of the sort that have "characters choice" as their first mechanic.
Another issue is Mei is rendered completely irrelevant by Zarya.
Any Mei vs a good Zarya is going to waste a lot of time failing to freeze anything all because Zarya looked in a general direction and used her omnidirectional, universal counter to everything bubbles on them/herself.
The stun is actually just one of many issues with her kit to me, I agree it has to go. They've done so much shit and made the combo do next to no damage, but it doesnt matter because team mates can easily just oneshot things for you as Brig.
But talking about the rest of launch brig's kit, I don't think any of it was particularly healty. Yeah the Flail was fine and the knockback move was harmless, but the rest of it.... I have a lot to say about.
Lets start with her Ultimate, it was the only ultimate in the game that:
-Had a permanent effect
-Could be built while its effect was up
-Could be used during down time to no waste at all.
This obviously caused snowballing to an insane degree, it has sense been fixed, but it was pretty insane.
Now her heal pack, this is an auto aiming, long distance instant 150 HP boost to anyone that also does not interact with terrain or barriers/defense matrix. If Brig looks at someone, they can at any team just gain 150 HP and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it.
The biggest thing that kept Ana's long distance healing down for a year was the presense of Winston and D.Va who could block her healing. You can't do this to Brig, someone on her team is going to be instantly gaining 150 HP or 75 armor every 5 seconds. I did a big post on healer powercreep a while back, I think this ability falls in line with it.
I know nerfing all this would make brig bad, but brig is sorta a hero who's either going to be a meta breaker or trash. Like a lot of heroes actually.
It might be that you're aiming at the outline but not at the model/hitboxes. If you do get a noreg, you'll see a red spark where you hit.
What if Brig got Torbjörn's old scrap mechanic? She is already a brawler/Healer hybrid so gathering scrap is not as risky. Also it would take her healing have a bit more skill/resource management to it. The armor could still be auto-targeting but have a short cooldown.
This is even with the training bots, whose heads are huge and latency shouldn't be nearly as much of an issue as it would be playing against other people.
I don't condone the harassment, but shit like this wouldn't happen if Blizzard would even give the hint they were looking into fixing the problem.
I kinda wish it gave some indication of who she is saying what to (although a few of them mention names).
A surprising amount of them seems to hint at some kind of attraction. I was under the impression that human-omnic relationships/attractions were a extreme minority in the setting. I also find it funny that Luna is pretty much the musical version of "Buddha Jumps Over The Wall".

Man, her voice is so seductive, so nice. If omnic male can get a human wife, then I surely can get a omnic wife too!
That voicelines about a cat seems almost like some kind of secret code, secret message she is telling someone. Some kind of riddle that only the one who she is talking to can understand. It give me the impression
that Luna is part of the revolution that is about to take place in Paris, the secret society of omnic who made those tattoo. We shall see.
See this is why we need to kill all the damn omnics
Stop
Jesus, I didnt even think about the fact that the omnic singer is going to get the same treatment as all of the other female overwatch characters.
What treatment is that?
Waifuism
Lots of cosplayers cosplaying her and nothing bad at all
Ignoring the fact that an omnic singer is bullshit because it's presumably just a speaker playing audio tracks.

I love how quickly everyone leaves after seeing it's a Brig POTG.
Are you reducing Zen's wisdom to audio tracks? Rude as shit m8
I hope that's a healing grenade launcher he's wielding.
they need to stop adding heroes and focus on balancing the game
It looks like a small health pack. Bet it's like a health/ammo pack from a classic shooter that I'm forgetting.
The youtube video has his in-game model at the end bit, and it's def a grenade launcher lookin thing

also: somebody check his power level
Looks a lot like Pip from Paladins in terms of main gun - projectile launcher and a kit focused almost exclusively on aoe
Shit like voice-actors being harassed by stupid decisions made by Blizzard would also not happen if people would stop being stupid, toxic cunts.
