Theres also no graphic for it but he's also invisible for the entire exit animation, so you could feasibly teleport right behind a widowmaker safely now.
Anybody got Doomfist tips? What's your go to combo?
Also that reaper buff seems interesting, I think reaper mains are gonna love it
Yep, as predicted, they did not revert his lifesteal buff. But finally, FINALLY. After THREE YEAR of begging for them to finally rework or do something about that ability, they changed it a lot to finally be atleast
situational and not plain useless. I think they're starting to wake up, whats with Baptiste and the patch that came recently.
This year's Archives event will revolve around Baptiste's rebellion against Talon and will feature the same scenario as Retribution (with a different environment and available heroes, of course) with the same Talon enemies from last year.
I'm already calling it.
I am no Doomfist expert, but a common mistake I´ve seen is using up all your abilities in one go. Try to spread the use of abilities out a bit timewise in so you always have a way to engage or disengage. Use the big punch (whatever that ability is called) for enemies with 200 or more health. For enemies with less HP than that use the uppercut and the normal attack in the air. It may not always kill but it will force the enemy to disengage from the battle.
The above is mainly useful for getting the drop on lone enemies, I don´t really have any good advice for using Doomfist in a team-fight.
Basic combo is E, shoot, shift, shoot, and either keep shooting, punch them, or punch away.
Also hold space with punch to launch a lot further.
Wrong, you can still see the teleportation effect, you just can't see reaper. You can easily just line up a headshot if you a decent memory of his hitbox.
Thats even more wonky. I like the change but man this isnt exactly Overwatch polish
The major thing about the buff is you can get some crazy teleport angles now that you can activate it in midair, and it takes half as long. It actually feels like mobility when you're playing.
It's still easy to see reaper teleporting. If you teleport behind waist high objects it should go unnoticed, though.
I'm only a gold-tard but ALWAYS keep 1 ability on stand-by for escape. usually I slam down, uppercut + M1 then Fist charge away.
ALso hold down jump when you fist charge, it gives you extra traveling distance.
After archive event and when I unlock Mei's PJ skin
I honestly can't think of a reason to continue playing.
The game has sapped all enjoyment from me.
I only ever play it now when me and my mates are all online.
Maybe I just need a couple years break from it.
Have you considered joining a team for a league? Ive been in one since a few months before goats and it was fun. I ended up quitting around January because I couldn’t stand only playing goats. It might be tough to find but my team had pretty good synergy and we ended up winning a few smaller leagues. There’s lots of tryhard “SERIOUS ONLY” teams but I can say for sure there’s many teams with great people in them.
I dont play overwatch anymore, but doing that definitely kept me from dropping it in January rather than like September
I have gone back to Qp pretty much entirely because at least it brings some sort of variety. 6 DPSs on your team beats the mirror matches of comp all the days of the week (at least for me now) and there is also that rare thrill of it actually working.
Also Torb. Torb is never unfun to play
Another small update for the PTR. Mostly QoL changes. This also fixed the startup issues of the PTR that some people (including me) had.
Doomfist
Seismic Slam: Can now target through railings
Mei
Ice Wall: Easier to place on thin surfaces
Appears less jittery when placing while moving around
Reaper
Shadow Step: Easier to place on thin surfaces
Appears less jittery when placing while moving around
Symmetra
Teleporter: Players that use your Teleporter now continue to look in their current viewing direction
Easier to place on thin surfaces
Appears less jittery when placing while moving around
That teleporter change is gonna annoy some of the people who love their Rein charges through tele, right?
Even worse:
I cannot throw my turret into the tele and have it instabuild any more. Now exactly how am I supposed to keep up a effective defence!?
One more unnecessary nerf targeted toward Torbjorn, so much hate against Blizzard for this unholy change.
My gf bought this game and we grouped up to play together.
Holy FUCK is it frustrating to be in a low rank game. So many matches were lost just because the team is all over the map or they're not pushing forward.
Yeah, it's the case with every team-based game. Would be nice to have a better communication wheels.
Just like World of Tanks: They say it's 15v15 but it's usually 1v29.
It still boggles the mind that apparently you are not allowed to say "no".
and people will just tell you to "carry the team and you'll be in gold :^)"
mercy's suit isn't even boob armor so not sure how they "got rid of it"
Redirect Notice
people are rating this baby and disagree and shit but quite literally my gold friend climbed to diamond playing only brig
Not a fan. At all.
As a Mercy main I'd be incredibly disappointed if they got rid of her boob armour and incredibly impractical high heels.
And fingerless gloves? really?
Now have the need to draw my own version of an actual Mercy combat Medic.
Time to post the good old XCOM boob plate removal again

Though there's definitely boob plate there, you can still do it even if there isn't that much of it
