Overwatch - It's the Chinese year of the 🎁🔵⚪🔵🔵 A limited time event!

No limits should be a semi permanent part of arcade but there's no way I want that back in qp
Honestly arcade shouldn't be a rotation thing. At all. It's stupid.
They need to release the fucking map editor and let custom game hosts upload maps
Too late for that. They should've done that in the first year, that way maybe the community would've made maps that aren't choke hells and that would've influenced the direction of the game, but now with the way characters are balanced the only maps that can work without overpowering certain classes end up being the same reskin with slight variations.
Ah, can you actually imagine if Blizzard recreated the good ol' Warcraft 3 custom map experience in Overwatch? Anyone can create their own custom map/gamemodes thanks to an extremely robust editors. Being
able to mod in new characters, new entity or even non players characters. That would be.. so.. amazing.
Pretty sure they said they are working on something like this, but it takes a lot of time to do because the engine is new.

Anytime now
Yeah I know (been playing since launch myself) but at this point I´ll take all the variety from my Overwatch in any way I can. It is also a pretty great feeling when a cheap team comp can be overcome, such as in my example above.
Do you guys know when archives is coming back? Or am I late to the party
Things are not art if they don't adhere to your standards of combat realism? I don't get it.
You have talking gorillas, mech piloting hamsters and people who can fall from 7 stories high and not break their legs, and people engaging in firefights wearing nothing but flip-flops and swimming trunks, and you're worried that Mercy's high heels have no combat efficiency? What about Roadhog being a fat bastard who can't stand normally without sounding like he's going to have a literal heart attack in the next five seconds? Or Junkrat literally propelling himself through the air with explosives?
What? waht? I never said it's not art. I'm just criticising it
Even Total Mayhem, a gamemode where all game balance is thrown out of the window, has meta heroes now. Get ready to be called every insult imaginable if you don't pick Winston/Zarya/Sombra.
My biggest fear with an Overwatch level editor is Blizzard releasing a watered down version of it where you can only use a handful of generic assets, and doesn't allow for importing custom content. Give us the real deal like what a lot of developers used to do.
Ultimates are currently the only reason anything can die in Goats.
Like legit, have you ever watched an OWL match, it’s just basically an ultimate spam until one team dies if both go meta
I have a feeling that if they end up disallowing custom content the reason would be so that nobody can upload anything inappropriate. Gotta keep that squeaky clean Overwatch image y'all!
Aww. Then how am I supposed to create my "Torb using Molten Core while standing on a big phallus tower" payload map?
Do you really believe they're going to EVER allow custom content? This is literally what I expect.
Tbh if I can make Lucio surf maps in the future that is enough for me.
You're right, I'm probably being too optimistic. What a shame because a big reason why older games like TF2 are still going strong is because of community content. Not allowing us to import custom meshes and other assets limits our potential.
The fact that Halo is coming to PC will have modding later down the line is going to really hurt games that don't.
The age of modding is seemingly over, with games getting less and less customizable since as far as 2012, and thing that once used to be up to the players will to customize such as Spray, Profile Icon or merely
being able to change your videogame sound/sprite (like changing a voiceline to a sound for example or changing the hud) have become thing that the developers make and decide for the players. Seriously, profile
icon being considered a "reward" is beyond me.
You're right, let's hope that Halo will bring back another golden age of modding. Old mods in older games are amazing, and it only lead me to wonders: what would happens if they were in much more modern & robust
engine? Autochess in DotA 2 is an exemple of something great made by the community in recent time.
Tried watching a bit of OWL to see if Baptiste changed anything up.
Don't bother, same old shit.
Have Blizzard shown any new information for the upcoming event
Will there be any new skins or what?
It's not out for like another week or so if the leak is anything to go by

leading up to the date of the event, they'll dripfeed all the content the event will provide
Who cares about trivial things like game support and balancing, we have bigger problems.

They should have everyone do the ok hand gesture, what're they gonna do kick everyone out?
