I was saying that as Joker summoning his stand, since with Persona they got their own versions of them, but yeah my B .
Interesting, but how would that work in the context of Smash? Technically stand crash exists in the shield breaking, though even more powerful because it completely immobilizes for almost 20 seconds
I'd love for more fighting games in general, not even just Smash, to utilize mechanics from HTTF. The closest in Smash is Snake's mine being similar to Kakyoin's quarter-back traps and RosaLuma being... kind of similar to detaching your Stand and still being able to attack. A true puppet fighter would be interesting, or a character that slowly rises as they run forward or back
Could also do the thing that P4A does where if your Persona gets hit too many times, it breaks and is unable to be used for a bit. (like Luma)
But that's something that would only make sense if Arsene (or other Persona) is a crucial part of his kit and "buff" his moves (ala R&L or Ice Climbers) and not just a visual part of his moves.
Please just give us blocks again. The Wii U version's stage builder was wayyy too finicky. Just add plenty of block types and special objects and I'll be more than happy.
Why not both? Placed blocks would seamlessly merge with drawn terrain and vice versa.
Customizable hazards would be a neat new feature too, letting you paint or place the same kind of hazardous surfaces used in Spirit battles. Imagine being able to make electric walls, or a platform that puts you to sleep if you stand on it too long, people could get super creative with that, especially if you add Scribblenauts-esque "adjective" slots for every type of object, the adjectives being every single hazard and status effect type in the game.
Will it even be necessary now that almost every stage people want are back? We just need Meta Crystal and FoD's frame problem fixed and the stagelist will basically be perfect

I always liked making my own custom stages and getting creative with it. I never really tried to remake stages from previous games.

Both would definitely be ideal, although if we could only have one or the other I'd definitely take the blocks. I also love the idea of drawing hazards and applying hazards to them. Take that mushroom platform from Brawl, add the "sleep" effect to it, and bam we have a magic forest stage.
For a few weeks I've been praying for a major update that added content, and those fantasies always include the reintroduction of Pac-Maze and Meta Crystal. There's always a chance.
Although if 3.0 fails to add something beyond balance patches, this whole "we'll tell you later" would've been a pretty big misstep. But then again I'm the one who's taking the idea and running wild with it.

What makes Rosalina & Luma not a true puppeteer in your eyes? Technically, while JJBA: HFTF invented the puppeteer in terms of fighting game archetype, the only true puppeteer in it is D'vo. Also, there's Marth's counter being based on Chaka's, Kahn's and Black Polnareff's counter.
This kills the little hope I had that they'd eventually fix the Snake codecs. I guess Colonel and Otacon will be stuck talking about Brawl forever.

this wasn't confirmed on sakurai's part, but its a safe assumption.

Not using the Colonel for any new codecs is understandable, but they could just redo the one that needs redoing with another character and make all the new ones without him. I guess it just comes down to easter eggs not being a priority, as evidenced by them not even doing Guidances for DLC characters.
There's also the fact that apparently Otacon's and Mei-Ling's VAs have completely disappeared? Like, apparently they just don't do VO work anymore.
Shame that we're not getting an update to guidance or codecs, thought that since the DLC characters were decided way before launch that they'd be able to get their VAs in to record some lines for it, but I suppose not.

Gimme the option to sort characters and stages by universe, rather than by smash appearance.
I'd love to be able to sort the characters and stages how I want them with some like, drag and drop thing
