Ultimate's stage select is a total mess, every time I want to find a stage I either have to sweep through row by row or totally randomly because even on my fairly large TV the icons are too small to reliably make out enough to know where you're going in advance.
My default ruleset has the stage select turned off and set to random omega and battlefield just because I can't be assed to hunt through it every time.
Because of recent events my most wanted Smash character has changed, I now want Hornet from Hollow Knight the most seeing as she is getting a new game and it looks insane
D'vo's puppetteer (and characters w/ long-range stands that can detach them) are completely helpless while they're puppeteering, and require smart positioning and proper character control so they aren't just killed while they're puppeteering. D'vo for example can't use his puppet if he's, say, being combo'd.
Also, Chaka's/Kahn's/Black's counters have a unique mechanic that involve "learning" the enemy's move from countering. I don't actually play them, so whether that means they auto-counter the move if used again I'm not sure, but it's a lot more interesting than just the swordie counters that either deal similar damage or a flat amount.

Ah, so you're argument is that she isn't a puppeteer because she respawns? There are plenty of puppets that have a respawn mechanic, it's just that Luma basically ignores all of the downsides they're supposed to have (though were toned down in SSBU). At least SSBU bothered to make Luma respect their master's hitstun.
Nah, more she isn't a puppeteer in that Luma may as well be a hologram of her but and she works the exact same as any other smash character.

Whats facepunch's favourite matchup? Snake is really fun character to fight against, its pretty exciting to dodge and weave his explosive but I wish I can say the same thing about online Samus and Links, its a constant cycle of run to edge of stage, spam, run away to other side and repeat.
Ryu mirrors were already fun as hell in 4, throwing Ken into the mix only made it better
Also Ganondorf, Marth and Peach dittos move way faster than you'd expect, all three are basically touch-of-death matchups
To those who have forgotten like I did, Ice Climbers, K. Rool and Plant amiibo are out.
If stage builder were to return, I'd hope it could do the omega/battlefield thing of being able to use other stages for aesthetics.
I just got my K. Rool in the mail today and Ice Climber is coming tomorrow. I forgot to get Piranha Plant.

So I got Nintendo Online and decided to give Smash a go, and I've run into a somehow common problem.
Link projectile spammers.
I've fought 8 separate Link players, who all played mostly exactly the same; boomerang, arrows, bombs at range, and up and side smash whenever I get close.
What's a good way for staving off projectile spam in general?
What character are you playing?

I never run into Links as my other mains, which are Ridley, Pkmn Trainer, and Piranha Plant.
