Smash 64 almost had the best original tracks of the series. Meta Crystal would be the best track if Multi-Man Melee 2 didn't exist.

I wonder if Ultimate will be looked at in the same light whenever we get Smash 6. If we're being 100% objective here, Ultimate is missing a lot more than 4 was compared to brawl.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=75VzljdUE-s This song made me wish Fire Emblem got a stage in Melee instead of this getting slapped on Temple.
I really, really liked Smash Run on Smash4 3DS. I dumped so many hours into it and played it more than literally any other mode. I wish it came back in Ultimate. But this is also coming from the person who'd put hours upon hours replaying City Trial with the longest time limit you could put in Kirby Air Ride over and over, and Smash Run scratched that fucking itch like no other.
If we get a better game than Ultimate, then yes, most likely. Ultimate is the culmination of the previous games best non-single-player parts, though. It's super flawed in terms of its content compared to previous games, namely single-player content and variety, but at the end of the day, it has every character from every previous game, it attempts to balance every single one, and it also is the culmination of Melee's fast and precise movement being blended with the slower more chaotic pace of Brawl and Sm4sh. So many little things make the core gameplay so much better - the air dodging is so important for so many characters, the decrease of usefulness for shielding and dodging plays a huge part in making more offensive characters more viable, et cetera.
On the other hand, Brawl's roster now looks absolutely puny compared to Ultimate's. They put all of their effort into getting every character back over any other content.
the thing that will always make smash 64 stand out a lot is the electrified effects and how every character has its own skeleton and stuff. so cute and full of charm that was definitely lost on later iterations.
Hey, don't count out patches adding new and returning content to Ultimate. We already know it's gonna happen but not to what extent.
I'm hyped for smash 6, that way people can take a big poop on ultimate while talking about how much they miss Master Order/Cray Orders and how 4 was the last game with soul
Catch me dead praising Master Orders.
i wonder if they'll finally add Master Chief and Doomguy
You're gonna brag about Melee's music and not even mention Break the Targets? Shameful.
let's be honest, at the rate i'm going I'd be better off just posting a rip of the entire ost. i don't think there's a single bad music track in the game
Honestly that's what I did when the game got leaked, grab the full rip ost and loving it. It's a damn shame Nintendo doesn't put the soundtrack for sale or put a selection album on My Nintendo that you can grab with coins. I believe the Club Nintendo Smash soundtrack that you got for free for getting both games is the only smash soundtrack available physical.
(He's talking about Melee.)
Ah, but Ultimate has the intro without sound effects I have a Melee rip soundtrack but swapped it out with Ultimate since all the songs are there aside from fanfares and victory themes.
I can understand Link since we already have the Hero's Tunic, and Zelda since the ALBW Zelda gives the character a whole new flair compared to her TP incarnation, but Ganondorf I just don't understand. OOT Ganon looks great, but TP Ganon is a fantastic design. Plus it feels weird having him finally get his sword outside of shitty custom moves, but use the design I'm pretty sure he's never canonically used.
Tired of years being taken seriously as a competitive fighting game, Frostbite held a casual items-on tournament and it's a blast. https://clips.twitch.tv/BlindingExuberantLobsterHoneyBadger
With having an arguably better online mode, better balance, a massive adventure mode; I don't think it's "objective" to say that its missing more, unless you mean home run contest which deffo wont be a bloody make or break for people.
Apparently people found some more leftover files related to Joker, possibly implyinga female costume option for Joker, which, according to theories within the community, could be an upcoming feature in Persona 5 R, and possibly one of the reasons why Nintendo hasn't shown anything yet since Atlus is holding them back to reveal that themselves at the upcoming event.
Ganondorf's proportions are pretty different, and his animations are a lot more dynamic to match. Even ignoring that stompy dad Ganondorf would look odd on his Ultimate animations, I'm not sure that the model's skeleton would match up properly. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/1844/e26fa2cf-00b3-4fc7-aecf-16d3fa767d35/image.png
Well if that turns out to be true I would love for the alt to be like @AtomicSans avatar
Smash 64 has the best hit sounds IMO. They have such a punch to them, and I think the cartoony sound effects were really great.
The sound of the master hand getting killed and the deafening silence after the screen fills with white light that then fades to black, gives me chills. The sounds from the later games aren't bad, but they don't compare to the genuine pain you hear in smash 64's hand instead of the drawn out scream and cacophony of noises we have now.
I feel like its a missed opportunity to not have a few dlc characters as echo fighters (on top of the 5 planned of course)
i miss the audience going wild when you made a difficult recovery
They still gasp I think.
Femjoker better have thighs for days or I riot
that's lame in comparison, they used to scream and cheer
