I still think jumping from crouch should always result in a shorthop. Easy to do, easy to understand, isn't objectively better than doing it the old way. Basically you're crouch-cancelling your own jump. While we're at it, jumping from shield (with the button still held) would shorthop, making stuff like SH aerials out of parry or airdodging away from shield pressure easier for, you know, normal people.

I got lucky, a lot of Joker's response options throughout the game are things I would actually say, so it was easy to self insert.

Joker tends to have a couple "normal" response options that most sensible people would say, and one idiotic comedy option.

Most of them definitely have a sarcastic tone to them though.

Speaking of responses, It would be neat that some of them were added to the list of messages for online matches. Mostly because I want to say "Alola 🤙" or "I'm a dad" when I win

Are there any other games with a Turbo mode like PM's? Cancel on hit is such a genius idea for fun and it feels incredible. If I would design an action game I would have Cancel on Hit be a timed powerup or something. It's just so good.

I actually hope that isn't the case, when they did the female protagonist for Persona 3 they intentionally made her the opposite of the male one in desgin and personality (Orange hair vs blue hair, more bubbly and energetic as opposed to calm and deadpan), I hope that it's more like that

I didn't think there were unironic competitive Bayo mains who were entitled enough to think she would have been busted in both titles. I thought everyone who played her in 4 either lived and died by her because they really like Bayonetta and how she played regardless of tier, or were only playing her because they wanted to win, and would move on the second she wasn't top tier. You can't be both.

So, question for P5 players. Do you think they'll give Joker his casual attire? I know jack shit about P5 so I have no idea if he has better alternatives for alt costumes, but it seems like the Smash team is being pretty consistent with second-/third-party guest characters and their alt costumes. Bayo, Cloud, Ken getting Violent Ken, even Piranha Plant's 4 costumes that use actual plant pots instead of warp pipes.

I feel like it'll just be alt colors based on the party members.

As long as Morgana is an assist trophy or something I'll be a happy camper. Just not a Mii costume, please. I just know it'd be one of those awful head-for-a-hat Mii costumes that wind up looking stupid basically no matter what you do.

I don't think they would add AT's as part of the DLC, but I'd be happy to be proven wrong on that front.

A female variant seems really unlikely, considering Joker comes out in April and the game that a fem-Joker would appear in has gotten no official announcement at all

And if we don't get Last Surprise as a music track with vocals I'm gonna shit Throw some Persona 3 music in there too it's like all bangers.

To be fair, there was an announcement of an announcement for a P5 related thing last month- the announcement saying to expect something in March. If they were gonna officially announce anything, it'd be then, not any time sooner.

I'm not gonna cross my fingers for the songs getting their vocals given examples like Snake Eater and the Bayonetta songs, but I would be absolutely confused if Last Surprise, Rivers in the Desert and Life Will Change aren't present in some form.
