Buying MicroSD cards online (specifically from Amazon and eBay) is a huge gamble, since a majority of online-only storefronts have very poor product authentication processes, if any at all, when it comes to "add-on" goods like removable storage.
Storage media counterfeiting is a huge and lucrative market right now, and with consumer awareness of its existence being so low, it's unlikely any steps towards dealing with it will be taken any time soon.
Counterfeit SD cards, USB drives and phone chargers are a huge problem on Amazon right now. Wish they'd do more to combat it.
They don't really have any reason to, since they get to shave nickels and dimes off the top of each sale, and Amazon even used some known counterfeit sources to produce their Amazon Basics selection, when it comes to cables especially.
Edelgard (Fire Emblem) is one of the commonly speculated/rumored DLC characters for Smash. Edelgard's VA tweeted about getting to work on "one of the biggest games ever".

People spend years complaining about Fire Emblem being disproportionately represented compared to its value as a franchise and then it goes and makes infinite gachabucks.
At this point be glad that the next newcomer isn't Carmilla and Lyn who each come with twenty-seven seasonal holiday outfits.

I have no clue who she is outside of this current context. She's not dumb for "fanning the fires" or whatever, but she IS super fucking dumb for posting something as blatant as that on social media. Even not saying what game it is (come on, unless FE is getting a brand new game for Switch soon that's guaranteed to set the world on fire, it's super god-damn obvious it's Smash), you're still literally just telling people "btw i'm working on this amazing game soon~~~! don't tell my boss though, what are NDAs". Didn't somebody get fired for violating their NDA recently? I feel like this happened before. Not specifically with Smash or even Nintendo, but somebody talked on social media about a project they were NOT supposed to talk about and immediately got shitcanned for being so stupid.

Got a link to that, if you don't mind my asking? All leaks are fake until proven true, yadda yadda yadda, but I'm curious about what this one has to say.
VAs always announce that they're super excited to be working on a job without name dropping the project all the time. I'm pretty sure as long as she doesn't actually name drop or blatantly hint ("biggest game ever" is so vague it means nothing. Could be Fortnite for all we know), I don't think she breaks any NDAs.
Honestly think Smash fans are seriously over thinking this (as per usual) and think anybody that has looked at Smash in some way has to be hinting at something.
Again, it was posted in the Smash thread. The thread dedicated solely to discussing involving Super Smash Brothers. Either we discuss it as potentially being her leaking her involvement in Smash, or the discussion literally just goes "oh. probably nothing to do with smash. whatever" and it ends there.
I'd like to think Nintendo would know better than to give us more Fire Emblem, especially since they haven't shut the fuck up about how "the DLC will be soooo crazy and unexpected you guys, NO ONE is off the table" after Joker got revealed.
Like, Corrin is a fine character and all, but his/her reveal may have been one of the most anti-hype things ever. There was not a single human outside of Japan who didn't say "aw FUCK" when the final Sm4sh reveal cut to Fire Emblem stuff. Fire Emblem is popular, yes, but there are so many other characters who have next to no representation in Smash who deserve a full character slot so much more than some literally who from the latest FE release. Literally the only other franchise that's had characters added in the vein of "okay we're putting a rep from the new game, figure out which one after it ships" is Pokemon, and that's just for Greninja and Incineroar (compared to basically every FE rep after Ike).
Fire Emblem has had a TON of special treatment over the past two Smash games and it doesn't need any more when we could be getting characters like Banjo or Geno or Doomguy or even that Xenoblade guy everyone wanted so badly. Gimme a brand new franchise rep with a brand new playstyle rather than anime sword person with a charged attack on Neutral B and a counter on Down B. I haven't even played a single Persona game and I'm hyped for Joker because "wow, that seems like the kind of character who would bring some real diversity to the roster in terms of visual style, music, and gameplay".
I bought the Fighters Pass because I want the complete game, but I'm not gonna feel super jazzed about that purchase if one of those slots goes to such a boring, "appointed by committee" choice as new FE protag.

And wasn't it said that all the DLC fighters would be from games with no other reps yet? Or am I remembering wrong.
Sylux would've been perfect to promote Prime 4, but after the recent news I can't tell if adding Sylux would be a good or bad idea.
