people discuss games because games are important to people. if that makes you mad, maybe don't go to a place where people will talk about those games?
Ah alright now that I've had some caffeine I can see what I wrote totally came across as me calling out this thread, im all for discussion and that wasn't my intention.
Clarification: More than a few people I've played with have felt the need to either complain about the non binary stuff or correct me when I've called out said character using a gender term (for whatever reason like 60% of people I went to high school/uni with have either become SJW's, extremely anti SJW or socialists).
Its disruptive and damn annoying because any attempt to tell them to stop means to them, that you are disagreeing with them when really I just don't care which I expected to be the majority consensus given it doesn't change jack ingame.
how DARE you misuse a pronoun for a video game character who doesn't exist in real life
You say "Let me place my video games in peace" yet you're the one starting the argument about this. Just stop posting about it and play the game on your own terms if it upsets you.
yep and I've had people quit out of games because I picked Lifeline and they're "sick of playing with niggers". Welcome to online games, people are going to be shitty about literally anything so just ignore it and move on.
Anyone else getting constant Connection Timed out errors when trying to matchmake?
what the fuck?
Sorry but this is just way too funny for me as it's like the decade old CoD pubbie drivel followed the Devs from MW2 all the way to Apex
The horrendous in game VOIP just completes the entire thing
So apparently, you can use your grappling hook as Pathfinder to pull yourself into enemies.
Yeah, forget what I said, Pathfinder is S tier
The thing about bloodhound is that when you ult you go fast and to me that's just about what I need.
So the next two legends are probably going to be a simulacrum pilot and an Asian guy (apparently Korean?)

It'd be neat if the simulacrum ends up having wall running, but I think it'd more likely be stim based.
Also it'd be great if pathfinder had new lines if he was teamed up with a semi-robot.
If the new update added 2 new heroes and new weapons along with balancing the other weapons (buff zhambique and maybe nerf peacekeeper) and the season pass, not even 2 months after release, it'd easily be the best patch for any game in a long time
Iirc a leak mentioned the L-Star possibly returning as supply legendary along with a new energy AR that can become a railgun with a combination of right attachments.
I doubt the satisfying as fuck gibbing of the L-Star would return given the T rating of Apex along with how an insta kill no down meat exploder would be way fucking bonkers. Looking forward to the L-Star though regardless as its the only MG in TF|2 that doesn't feel overly stiff to me.
Ugh. Is it just me or do characters that crouch somewhat look like they're downed when you're in the middle of a frenzied fight?
Only lvl 14 and I already have Nintendo zapper mastiff, lightbringer prowler, and 750 craft mats
I like my luck
friendship ended with peacekeeper
now wingman is my best friend
I would love a simulacron pilot. I feel they didn't do much with the simulacrons in titanfall, so it'd be cool if they added one to this.
Sorry but this here combination of username, quote and post nearly made me laugh like and idiot in a public place.

(the following isn't directed at RGM but justna general point of thought)
In all honesty tho if you call out "Bloodhound! He's on our left!" nobody worth talking to is going to have a go at you for it. Saying "I like bloodhound, he's my favorite" won't get you arrested.
However insisting on calling bloodhound a "he" means you have a reason. That reason probably boils down to you having a thing against sjw's or you are a dick. In the case of the former i gotta say that no SJW like that exists and I'll bet you never met one. Leftist boogymen/boogywomen/boogythem are not real despite what you might see on twitter.
In the case of the latter well fuck you too.
My reason for calling Bloodhound a he is that it is the way I perceived the character when I started playing the game. Only reading the official biography about Bloodhound later revealed that literally nobody knows a single thing about them, including gender. Which still
didn't imply that Bloodhound identifies as non-binary or anything. Just that nobody knows who or what Bloodhound actually is. I'm not actively trying to be disrespectful or to go against SJWs, it's just my original perception of the character! Which is that Bloodhound is a badass "Boba Fett meets Odin" style dude who nobody knows anything about I'm also not a native speaker and most people I play the game with aren't either. Suddenly using other pronouns and so on can get pretty damn confusing if you already have to think about how to phrase things while being under high pressure in an intense firefight and so on. In German, we'd also have to use a very formal style of referring to Bloodhound because they/them doesn't exist in the same way in our language. As far as I know. The only thing
coming close to that is the way you refer/speak to actual royalty.
Overall it gets way too confusing for something that, in the end, shouldn't even matter that much. Bloodhound is a fictional character whose true identity is supposed to stay a mystery. And that's pretty damn cool. Everyone can decide whether Bloodhound is male, female, non-binary or anything else. I refer to him as a guy for simplicity's sake and without any ill intentions.
Be nice and call them appropriately.
ESP scan fuck
Fat
Emotionally distraught witch
Tactical nuke
Bamboozle dood
Fart gas
Roomba
Healing roomba
still pissed that pathfinder doesn't have an animation for whenever he collides with a wall like Atlas and P-body have (even though that's not who you're referring to when you say Portal 2)
wait I thought bloodhound was a tf2 pyro-like situation from an "official" standpoint (Unless you consider a voice actor reaching out "official" - even though from my perspective it strikes me as if "they" was simply referring to someone you don't know what gender they have) where it's simply unknown
meaning bloodhound might aswell be a suit filled with several smaller bloodhounds controlling them, he, she, they, whatever. I don't think it's fair to slap a negative intention down people's throat when they insist that bloodhound is male, female, non-binary, or alternatively a religious deity because - from once again an official standpoint - bloodhound can be anything you want bloodhound to be, unless you want 'em to be a good teammate because so far every bloodhound ive met just gave our position away with their stupid scan and got us killed
Anyone having issues connecting to the game?
I've made a reddit post about it.
https://www.reddit.com/r/apexlegends/comments/aqm8n8/pc_cant_connect_at_all_to_apex_got_no_help_from/
so what you're saying is
the real Bloodhound is the friends we made along the way?

POW HA HA
I hope they find a way to incorperate titans into Apex somehow. Game is fine as right now but with titans it would be like 10x better. Imagine the OH SHIT factor of rolling up on a squad with a giant robot, and then taking it down.
As much as I like titans, I'm pretty sure it would ruin the balance and speed of the game. Would also require players to be able to regularly find anti-titan weapons or else they would be fucked.
If they really had to put mechs in, maybe a roaming rogue AI titan (like in Bounty Hunt) or squads of Stalkers/Reapers that drop rare loot would be cool.
yeah basically
I'd like to distance myself as far as possible from those kinds of people but whatever the voice actress says about her role does not confirm that bloodhound considers themselves as "non binary" and you have to use they/them for 'em otherwise you are "disrespectful" until the official lore page/the lore man at apex confirms it
so go along and talk about more important things, such as the mozambique
I can imagine titans being part of a separate mode later down the road. Probably could be a good excuse to bring a Pilot character with wallrunning and stuff. If sticking to a BR-like gameplay, maybe really specific sort of maps designed for titans, making games play like a cat and mouse game where the player who finds a titan first scattered around the map would be at a significant open advantage, but players scattered around have more mobility and spots they can reach. Plus maybe the zone shrinking would discourage players to permanently use a titan since it might not be practical for certain areas.
If nothing else, and something that isn't just going to be straight up from Titanfall 2, I can imagine them going a sort of moba-route where it's a 5v5 game with a single titan on each team, but before they can access the titan the team has to gain a set amount of points or complete specific objectives. The titan can be upgraded and chipped in by all the players in each team, and when damaged, can be repaired or respawned after being taken down.
A suggestion from Castle Superbeast (formerly Best Friendcast) that I liked was an event where, instead of occasional lootdrops, a titan would drop onto the map. Now whether that entails a player-pilotable Titan, a squad-pilotable Titan, or an AI that roams around the map and drops loot, is up to interpretation, but I think it's a cool idea. I agree with you that it would fuck the core gameplay's balance too much as an actual feature otherwise, though
