I get that we don't help Marvin because he himself tells us to go and leave him behind at gunpoint, most likely because he knows he can't be saved. Despite this, both in the original and the remake, we always get back to him to try and help.
The only thing I didn't quite like was how you got back to Marvin after going underground, and he's just there being a zombie. I just walked up to him, Leon started saying "OH NO MARVIN NO" and even before ending what he had to say I just blew his head off. I thought they'd give me a cutscene or something but no you just go "marvin noooBOOOMooo ill get them for this marTCHTCHvin"

Following with saying it gives you permission to take everything and not give a damn about anyone else made me question if the player had indeed played the original, and come to the conclusion that you play one of like 5 people alive in a city full of walking corpses and monsters, that will be nuked in a few hours, which I've mentioned before. You can even figure this out from the diary pieces left that tell you how the shelter type of items you find in the station WERE used by the people who later went crazy or just turned, the same people you, well, won't have to "play EMT" with. We even get a cheeky note how police stations aren't safe for people of color during the 90's. Yeah, RE is now supposed to be a cultural documentary, while a zombie apocalypse is happening on the background.
More feeling bad over taking things from things that want to tear you apart and eat you, while thinking like an EMT like you said (fucking what?), and then the player can't get into the idea of "magical herbs". Yeah, whoever played this didn't play the original for sure, because the original had those "magical herbs" and nobody complained that you didn't disinfect your wounds and did the correct procedures with your prostate exam gloves. This somehow is goofy logic, but then again, so is playing a game and thinking you're gonna apply real world logic to a video game...
More bitching over "the game is just for you, you're the only person around and that is selfish", I guess all the dead people walking in the station aren't a sign that its kind of useless to leave ammo...
For some reason then the player thinks he/she is in a game like Life is Strange in which random things can't be grabbed. We've went full circle. People complaining about walking simulators of "grab and stare at it till you're bored", and now people complaining that it isn't a walking simulator, and you actually have to shoot stuff.
The player finally gives up playing it as an EMT, still mentioning carrying first aid items in real life, saying she hopes to be a different person in a real zombie outbreak in comparison to the main characters, for whatever reason.
The worst part about this is that there's a comment hidden because people deemed it offensive, despite just saying "this clearly isn't the game for you.."
The game is specifically emphasized as SURVIVAL horror, not 'post disaster medical assistance horror'
The reason your characters in RE survives is purely because they AREN'T EMTs trying to give mouth to mouth to a licker, they survive because they can shoot a gun and aren't afraid to do what it takes to survive, it also helps if they're immune to the virus of course.
Like there's no way to save him, they go out of your way to show that he's genuinely missing a chunk out of his body.
It would be like how OG RE had the ridiculous sideplot of curing a guy of poison. A dude with coke can sized holes throughout his body.

It's the same as saying you don't like gran turismo because it has cars and you don't like cars and prefer platformers, and being taken seriously. It isn't a different perspective even, it isn't supposed to be different game in comparison to the original, which didn't feature any of the ideas she wanted to follow either. By their logic, gran turismo should allow me to shoot at other cars because I could be an insane racing driver that brings a gun with him and then pulls it out and shoots it at other cars.
And then you got people commenting on it, saying shit like "good point!" and "you've opened my eyes, thats a fantastic idea!"

It takes a while to get used to. The movement is pretty janky, and the aiming feels weird for a while. The game is good, but you have to treat it like the side game it is.

Super Tyrant I believe has a timer, so if you survive 3-4 minutes during the fight, it'll spawn the rocket launcher.
I know about that. It's the whole insta kill if you don't stun him move he has. Unless you can dodge that and I'm just stupid.

He won't do the insta-kill move if you stay close to him, and he doesn't use his left arm to attack.
So basically skip the magnum and use all the yellow gunpowder for shotgun ammo instead?
Pretty much, also save some grenades.
I don't think you need to lose the magnum. The one shot potential can easily make up for the time loss on getting it, and it can pretty much replace the shotgun later on.
In NyxCrab's case I think reloading the last save and booking it would be enough to make up the 10 seconds. It's not really worth a whole new playthrough if you can correct minor errors to make up the time.
I beat Claire A with 20 minutes to spare and I went back to the police station to get the hidden stuff, Leon A isn't significantly longer.
