Imo I like the remade scene, Weskers had enough time to get used to the virus Birkin gave him, but not long enough to be the powerhouse he is in RE5

I don't think any of the characters in RE2make are scanned off of their VAs, Leon's face for example is Eduard Badaluta (a Romanian model), while his voice is Nick Apostolides, Stephania Panisello voices Jordan Mcewan modelled Claire, and Marvin is voiced by Christopher Watson (man needs a fucking award for his performance holy fuck), while his face is based on Patrick Levar, a music producer.
Most of the games have gone up to 75% off, so I'd wait if you want to save. Shouldn't need to wait long, the series seems to go on sale more than any other in my experience.
If any of you want to replay the original version of 2, you should find the PC sourcenext version and find the Classic REbirth mod for it. It's pretty much the best way to play 2, including the fact it has the 180° turn.

The SourceNEXT port was a pain in the shithole to get running the last time I tried it. It worked fine but all of the outer wrapping was in Japanese, and then the game itself had Japanese text, and I saw all these guides on how you have to manually install an English localization and then sort-of-guess what buttons do what in the outside wrapper, and honestly if you have to do that just to get it playable then fuck it, I'd rather use the original port. The only issues I have with that is a lack of widescreen support, which RE2/3 can't support anyway due to the way they were made.

I'll try to S+ the B scenarios too; I don't have to shave too much time off my Leon run, but I finally got all my infinite weapons. I should try a run just using all of them as I haven't tried any of the DLC or unlockable weapons. I still need to get the infinite knife too.
