the p could also stand for pikachu
Pokemon finally returning to it's Shin Megami Tensei-based roots.
Holy fuck the Octo Expansion was so good Not sure when I'm going to fight Inner Agent 3, I don't think I'm ready for that pain
https://twitter.com/snakepixel/status/1108915977830326272 I... never knew about this. Now that Nintendo is starting to hand out their IPs to indie developers, this might be a possibility (yes, please).
All I've ever heard about Owlboy is that while the art is amazing, it's style over substance and the actual gameplay is mediocre.
I'm really enjoying the Splatoon 2 demo. I might buy the full game.
If you do end up getting it, you can most likely find a group for Salmon Run in the Nintendo Facepunch Discord.
Octo Expansion fixed literally all my problems in regards to Splat2's base campaign. My issue with the base campaign was that it felt like a slog, with long levels that outstay their welcome that contain little challenge, and ends on a partial retread of the final boss from 1 anyway. Octo Expansion fixes all those problems with brief yet challenging levels with a clear focus on the gimmick, along with probably the best climax to any shooter I've ever played.
apart from me personally hating the theme and character designs of splatoon, one thing ill never get over is how you are supposed to deal with the aiming. I feel so... helpless playing that game. Anyone else initially felt like that? Is it a thing you just get used to?
It may take some getting used to, but it's almost as good as mouse and keyboard for me with gyro. As for your opinion on the character designs, how dare you >:I
Gyro aiming baybee. Not having variable sensitivity aiming with just sticks (like ADS) makes it almost necessary for precise aiming. Although if you don't like the theme or the character designs I'm not sure how much enjoyment you'll get out of it. It makes up for it's shortcomings as a MP shooter with that style and focus on customization and grinding for perfect gear.
Can't help but wince when the Octoexpansion trailer focused on the ass of a character thats clearly supposed to represent a kid in leather tight clothing or when the music that's usually alright is filled with random gibberish. If you enjoy that more power to you, but it just isn't in my system unfortunately. Gameplaywise I think the rounds are incredibly short too, and the fact that maps/entire gamemodes are locked based on time are a dealkiller to me.
I don't think agent 8 is a 'kid'. She seems more like Marina and Pearl's age, and they're adults. I might be wrong, I'm not 100% caught up on the lore.
certainly looks exactly like the "normal" characters which are clearly supposed to be "kids"
I disagree, I think the octo models look a lot older. But even if they didn't, I have 0 issue with fictional teens wearing too sexy clothing, particularly when they're so cartoony don't resemble humans in any way, but that's just my opinion.
The single player mode is effectively just a tutorial to get you used to gyro controls.
So I finally got around to playing moonlighter on my Switch. God damn do i love the gameplay loop and visuals. Makes me really want another pixel art Zelda game.
I liked both of Splat 2's single player modes but I liked the Octo Expansion far more than the base game. It was just the right amount of difficult but too hard as to be unbeatable. Some of the stations gave me no end of trouble (I'm lookin at you Girl Power Station) but the feeling of satisfaction I got from beating them was great. The base singleplayer had a few tough moments but it wasn't all that challenging. It was good but I liked the Portal-style of the Octo Expansion that changed it up by playing with the existing mechanics and doing something new with them.
I would love a super monkey ball game on the Switch
Pendulums were a lot of fun and helped revitalize a bunch of old decks without even needing specific support for them to be printed. They probably would've worked decently enough in Duel Links if we were still using the pre-Link format of having dedicated zones, but now that they've been merged into the far-end Spell/Trap Zones due to the Link mechanic needing everything to be on a grid, Pendulum players are only gonna have one free S/T Zone in Duel Links... (I still think my Domino mechanic concept was a better idea than this whole Link mess.)

ngl my favourite part was the beginning of the final set of stages; first, the tension was high while I had to sneak through an area with NO background music and only creepy ambiance, and then I manage to escape the first stage and right as I arrive in Villi stage Nasty Majesty kicks in while I look for a weapon to start fighting back. It really sets the stage for the rest of the escape sequence and it's so tight.
Should I get Splatoon 2 or wait for Splatoon 3? It seems like 2 is nearing the end of its content development cycle. And I'll never participate in a Splatfest, which sucks because they seem neat.
Well, we still have a few Splatfests left, and there's still a sizable set of weapon kits to come plus everything that's already been added. And I don't see the playerbase going down too far, considering the first game still has an active playerbase. Regarding Octo Expansion: I feel that the whole final stretch of the campaign after getting the 4 thangs is brilliant. A more linear campaign like that set of levels could work pretty well.
There's a promise of patches, content and Splatfests till July. You still have time.

This guy's video formula always seems to be: Boss speech being interrupted Same explosion sprite and sound every 5 seconds Extremely loud screech from hell beast or main character Someone or something flying through a wall It was funny the first couple of times but after the 15th video of the same thing it has personally lost its allure.
Finally went and got around to finishing the Octo expansion. Man they fucking knocked it out of the park. It honestly boggles my mind how good the whole expansion was, really. The creative strength of the Splatoon team is just unbelievable. It's the most refreshing thing to come out of Nintendo in like, a decade at least. To be honest, I still feel like they can do even better, though, since some of the expansion just rockets above the rest in terms of quality and presentation. All I can say is that I just want more, because Splatoon has continued to get better and better as a franchise as it's gone on.
Had this good ass dream that KI:U2 was announced. Trailer started with Pit and Hades fighting like the end of Uprising, Pit mentions that it feels like this fights been dragging on for years. Hades specifies how many years (since uprising came out) and Pit promises to bring it to a end for sure right here and now. He charges Hades with the mech suit and delivers a devastating punch... that goes right through Hades head and smashes some kind of small gadget. Hades and the setting vanishes and a helmet appears on Pits head. Seems he's been captured by ~~~aliens~~~ and they've been trapping him in some kind of projection of his final battle for whatever reason for however many years. (I guess to try and copy the sacred treasure??? Who knows) Trailer is then just clips of him trying to break out and stating he needs to get back to Earth and Palutena as who knows how long it's actually been. His peanut gallery being shown to be the aliens gods/goddesses as he tries to get home. It showed various stuff like a Divinipedia that acted as a enemy codex/model viewer, Light vs Dark mode comes back and it keeps the same goofy atmosphere of the first. Waking up and remembering we're never getting any kind of KI:U2 was heartbreaking
