I thought it was going to be a Xenoblade game because of their odd potato face, similar to how Xenoblade Chronicles X had some of his characters look. It also has a similar techno-mech look. I just hope the game runs well. Platinum games are a lot better when they run at a nice constant FPS. Preferably 60.
I also am not a fan of that decision for personal reasons, but the trailer makes me think something will happen that will shift alliances, so I'm hopeful
Well you guys can think what you want but I am pumped to be an anime cop and I am ready to pick up litter and stop shoplifters with police brutality.
I've been baited by third party games being similar to Xenoblade X now maybe thinking Astral Chain was a Xenoblade X sequel based on the terrible face models alone was a bit of a stretch but you have to agree that seeing giant robots and "X" plastered everywhere in the Daemon x Machina reveal trailer & thinking it's Xenoblade X is understandable, right
We need fuckin, ports of xenoblade chronicles 1 and xenoblade chronicles x for the switch. I'm lovin xenoblade 2 but the tone and art style of the game is vastly different from XB1 and XBX. I can play xenoblade 1 on dolphin okayish but I'd have to find my goddamn wiiu gamepad that's in storage somewhere if I managed to track down a copy of X. Nintendo is real close to have ported most of the wii u titles to switch. I know you can do it nintendo, just a few more. And wii sports resort for fucks sake I need it.
What microsd would yall recommend? I tried to install warframe the other night and found out about the pitiful amount of inbuilt storage.
The faster the better. Try to stick with reputable brands like Samsung or SanDisk. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FCMKK5X/ref=twister_B07NLWNDSV?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I've got this SD card too. Works like a charm. Also holy fucking tits daemon x machina is so fucking cool holy shit day fuckin one buy. This year's gonna be absolutely incredible.
While I really enjoyed the Yoshi's Crafted World demo, god do I hate the DOF effect. I know what they were trying to go for with that, but it makes the game look even more low-res than it already is.
I was quite surprised by how much I enjoyed Daemon X Machina. It wouldn't normally be my type of game, what with the art style and the general amount of chaos, but I really liked the main gameplay loop. I can't wait for the full thing and hope it gets a fair shake from reviewers. Someone from GameXplain apparently played the demo and never even used the boost feature, so my greatest fear is that people will outright play the game wrong and criticize it as a result.
I just got the three new Smash Amiibo today and holy hell the Ice Climbers may be my favorite Smash one to date, and perhaps overall. The perfect detail combined with the lively pose and clever use of a support (it looks like a sheet of ice instead of a generic slab of plastic) makes for one awesome looking figure.
You can blow off the laser gun off the spider mech and use it against him hnnnnggggg Except if the gun rolls over into an out of bounds area then the game bugs out and you can't fire the beam nor detach yourself from it, making you cancel the mission. I'm definitely coercing a couple friends to get DXM so we can do co-op
I really wouldn't be shocked to find out most if not all mainstream review sites gave DxM a middling grade. Sadly mech shooters are really niche, just look at all the Armored Core titles on Metacritic, most hover around 70-55. Sadly, unless you're a diehard fan of the genre, most people aren't going to understand or respect what DxM brings to the table. I'm just thankful to have something decent come to the genre in this current generation, because Assault Gunners HD is a poor stand-in, and after Dark Souls blew up, From Software is probably never going to touch Armored Core ever again. The thing that worries me is that most people who have talked about the game around seem hung up on the frame drops. Maybe I'm crazy, or maybe portable mode has better performance, but I didn't notice any dropped frames or at the very least it wasn't impactful enough to bother me, let alone remember it.
I really wanted to like daemon x machina, but more than anything it just made me want to play armored core instead. Hopefully the final product improves on a few of my issues with it. But as it is it just felt like it wasn't really bringing enough new to the table to set it apart, while also not really doing anything as successfully as ac previously had. I know I'll get it either way though, and play through it, because I really want a new mech game, and I can only replay the same ones so many times. So I can't complain too much.

The more I look at the Nintendo Online NES game lineup the more I realise there's an increasing power gap between how much I want to play the NES vs the SNES. Even if Nintendo's online offered only the standard lineup of first-party SNES games (SMW, Super Metroid, LTTP, Earthbound) I would get infinitely more use and value of it than the collective NES games they're ever going to put on that.
Yeah, there are definite greats on the NES, but the SNES era brought forth the refined and polished legends that are way more fun to play.
but the NES has super mario brothers twooooooooooooooo

How were the Persona Q games found to be? It's rare that my main interest in a game is it's music, but as a JRPG fan I might also hopefully get a good game attached. I like the artstyle and have a passable interest in the Persona games for some context.
They're akin to the Etrian Odyssey games for better or for worse.
Trying out the demo for EO4(?), I enjoyed the maze roaming and the combat, I just didn't care for the world or art. Sounds like it shouldn't be too bad. Cheers!
From what I heard the story of those games is fanwanky garbage that reduces the characterisation of the original games to a single trait, but I don't know about the gameplay. Plus I haven't actually played it myself, it's just hearsay from my friends who are pretty big fans of the Persona series.
I enjoyed Persona Q, and will probably get Q2 as well. They did a decent job combining elements from two series and is generally a good game. However, it doesn't have the great character relationship story/drama in the Persona series, and it couldn't really reach Etrian Odyssey level of challenge in terms of character building and resource management as well. It's mostly a fanservice series leaning more toward to the Persona side imo. If you really like Etrian Odyssey and expected a different challenge within the EQ format, then it will probably not satisfy you. If you really like Persona for it's character or drama, then you might not find these here as well. But if you enjoyed both then you might try this game out.
Tetris 99 is one of the most deviously brilliant games of the past decade, prove me wrong.
