I'm still partly pissed after all this time they still haven't done the one suggestion literally every Mario Party player I know has been asking for. Online. You'd think it'd be a no brainer with the Nintendo Online becoming a thing, make more games with online functionality, but nope. It'd definitely add more replayability to Mario Party that's for sure. So I really have no clue why they're so stingent on not doing it.
I can't seem to understand Nintendo's strategy when it comes to updating their games. Mario Odyssey gets updates but no DLC like people are asking for Breath of the Wild gets a season pass and random small updates for some reason Mario Aces gets an update that adds a random cutscene to the start of Story mode for some reason 10 months after release. Mario Party seems to have been completely abandoned. Smash has updates soon™ you just don't know when till a few days before.
i feel like super mario party in its current form is not worth the $60 that i spent on it. I thought that updates/dlc that added boards were a no brainer for 2018 nintendo, but i was wrong i guess
we out here in 2019 but ninty out here in 2009
BOTW's expansion pass felt like Nintendo wanted to get in on that DLC money, but also do their usual pattern of jealously hoarding any concepts or content that didn't make it into the final game to use in the next game, combined with a seeming unwillingness to add any content that couldn't be carefully shuffled into its own segmented area. So what you got seemed like the absolute bare minimum they were willing to give you. No new enemies, no new art assets, little to no gameplay elements besides a hastily dropped in bike, no new overworld areas, and a small handful of new costumes. A hard mode that has a grand total of one new gameplay element, IE the floating platforms. There was nothing stopping Nintendo from releasing a proper expansion pack given the massive amount of money they probably got out of it.
nintendo only really listens to what the japanese market is asking for
The only reason I can think Mario Party is getting so shafted is that they want to save up their ideas till they release a second game that pisses on the first in every way, gets hyped to hell because of how much better it is and forces people to double dip. I call that the Pokemon strategy
I have been playing the game for the last 2 weeks nonstop and was thinking about the dlc, the hard mode seemed enticing to be honest. But it sounds like it's generally not worth it. The game is just incredible. That said, keeping new elements and ideas for a prequel is rather nice in my opinion but considering that BotW is so vastly different from previous games, furthermore considering that Zelda tends to change quite a bit, I see no reason for them to keep the ideas for the next game considering that it might not translate all that well for a sequel.
i desperately wish you could play with all the master mode world changes without the regeneration and stupid buffs to enemy defenses. It’s genuinely bad
Damn, that sounds pretty lame. Just heard that they mixed up enemies and that it's generally tougher. Anyway I think after completing BotW, I won't touch the game for a long time. It's not like one you will replay again so easily.
The enemy mix-up is fine, but the hp regen they get is ridiculous.
Playerbase: "Hey Ninty some DLC kingdoms would be awesome! Maybe ones themed after Sunshine or Galaxy." Nintendo: "cÖSTUMES??"

That figurine looks like Christopher Walken
Honestly it's impossible to balance a game like Breath of the Wild to begin with. "Total freedom" as a gameplay concept means you can't account for how many shrines the player completes by a certain point or what gear they may have found and even upgraded. It's entirely possible for a player to get every single upgrade and piece of equipment they could ever want, grab the Master Sword, and then do the Divine Beast dungeons, or challenge-run the game buck naked with like five fairies, three hearts and weapons looted from enemies. They could've done a lot more with Hard Mode that could create a reasonable approach to play, but went too far in trying to compensate and thus made it pointlessly tedious - but like a Final Fantasy VIII where you've discovered how to abuse the Junction System and critical health Limit Breaks to destroy the game, Breath of the Wild giving you so many options means before you're even halfway done with the game you might be nigh-invulnerable to everything short of Guardians, Lynels and lightning strikes until the next enemy tier upgrade.

Because Nintendo of Korea has literally 10 employees
So you're saying I should learn Korean in my mission to become the President of Nintendo Korea
Looks like we have a release date for Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 3, along with some new characters. https://twitter.com/NintendoUK/status/1118137028884029442 I think this is the first appearance of Deadpool, Nightcrawler, Daredevil, Miles, and Gwen.

I can't believe Miiverse 2 is phone-exclusive and is a Youtube clone but seriously I hope this is the start Nintendo using the Nintendo Online app more seriously. Browsing Smash stages while on the bus is a great idea, I hope Mario Maker gets the same treatment. Following a creator should also let you see their submissions in other games. The app could become a nice online ecosystem that's close to the Steam workshop. For example they could do the same thing with shirt designs and tilesets in Animal Crossing.

On the topic of Miiverse, I find it pretty funny that even with the latest firmware the 3DS still has the icon on its home menu despite it doing nothing but telling you Miiverse is closed and has been for nearly 2 years.
I kinda wish the BoTW dev team made a helmet that would just essentially be a set of Sheikah VR goggles for the slate to go into for the VR update on the 25th, even if it'd just be a silly little visual thing just for fun.
Removing it now would probably just break themes.

It looks great. Will buy. Eventually.
