For those who have never played it, DMC 1 is quite literally just a Resident Evil game with melee combat and platforming. It's great.
We'll get Devil May Cry 1 and then the next port will be DMC Devil May Cry for 40 dollars because capcom is dumb as fuck sometimes
I'd rather them do interval releases than put them all out at once, my reason is because it means that there is no reason to make 2 out of 3 of them a Download Code.
Them being released standalone, means that most likely, they will be on the actual cartridge.
Well that makes sense, DMC1 was the original pitch for RE4.
steam's review system should be standard for all digital distribution platforms. it adds so much value for the consumer.
3ds had a review system i think. i wish they had included it for the switch.
I think Wii U used the same review system the 3DS did, since they both ran on the Gen8 eShop.
Hell, anyone remember the Nintendo Channel for the original Wii, and how it'd later add that feature where users could rate software they've played along certain categories and see pie charts of the data? Stuff like "Is this better alone or with others?" "Is this more suitable for casuals or veterans?" "For boys or girls?" "Does this fit a more relaxed or more intense mood?" And how the number of users who rated it at all would also boost a title's status from bronze to platinum to indicate higher engagement?
I miss the Nintendo Channel because you could download Nintendo DS demos with it
I miss Wii channels in general. And the older Wii U services, for that matter.
Like Miiverse.
Seriously, Nintendo. Just bring back Miiverse already. First Splatoon 2 keeps the drawing thing when nothing else does, and now we have everything about Smash World and even keeping the "Yeah!"s. You guys know we want it.
miiverse was the only safe space for 9 year olds where they could ask for help about their abusive parents
𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐒𝐏𝐄𝐀𝐊 𝐎𝐅 𝐌𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐒, but the fact is that it was a pretty cool and versatile service for what it was. A built-in social network with a community for every game, accessible from your Wii U or 3DS natively or any web browser, with every post being able to be typed or written/drawn on top of being able to attach screenshots, and integration within the games themselves where posts can be made from specific contexts and/or appear in such contexts. On top of how it was also the backbone of sharing other types of content such as Super Mario Maker stages or user-generated content in Smash 4, and there really was a lot going for it. The family-friendly nature of the whole thing was just icing on the cake and it was honestly just a pleasant experience. Just being able to hit an icon from your system, be whisked to a dedicated community for that game, and ask a question and get prompt, relevant (and civil) answers from other users - it's not the kind of thing you normally get on a console and I more than once was actually able to use it to get help on a game.
Plus the whole WaraWara Plaza thing making up the Wii U system menu, which really showed you what they were going for with the system. It felt like the exact kind of social atmosphere that Iwata-era Nintendo was striving for.
Pretty cool. I remember downloading the Kirby Mass Attack demo.
Remember the Metroid Prime 3 channel? So worthless.
I think I actually still have the Metroid Prime 3 Preview channel.
That was early, early Wii days, back when the branding's "accent color" was even still a greenish teal rather than the deeper blue it would transition into and carry into the Wii U era. I'm pretty sure all I had was Wii Sports at the time, and the Wii was set up in the basement because we'd recently moved into a smaller house with little space. Was an odd feeling back then, buying a brand new console and only playing Wii Sports in a basement for the first few months, even as the system became a global phenomenon. Like having almost all the equipment to set off a fireworks show and having to wait several weeks for the fuse to be delivered.

The cover also confirms Wasp.
There was few places that we could regale about how great the water was

Miiverse was a treasure
I can't believe nobody has thought to make a Wii Homebrew App like this, where you can just toss a .nds file at it and it'll run Download Play over to your DS.
Here's the Q & A from the fiscal year meeting

Are there any good like, survival/base building games, or just any city builders that aren't skyline?
On the switch? Literally none. Minecraft is good with friends if they have a realm but beyond that there's nothing really.
What would you be looking for in a city-builder that C:S doesn't have? Serious question, since Skylines seems to cover all the bases of all the SimCity nerds I know.
I already own it on PC, so I don't really want to rebuy it and I've been spoiled by workshop support.
But something a little more easier going, I'm not all that interested in messing around with traffic hell on a switch.
