5+ minutes of going over the history of the pokemon franchise with maybe a minute showing the title, maybe the starters and legendaries as well.
Just like the lackluster Sun and Moon reveal. An entire overview of Pokemon followed by two logos that had leaked the previous night, and absolutely nothing else. At least the starters and legendaries were revealed only a month or two later.
I think the difference here is that we've had official confirmation that gen 8 is in development since the LGPE reveal, so I assume that means we'll get a bit more than "hey guys gen 8 exists coming out in November probably k byeee". Hopefully get to see parts of the region and a few of the new Pokemon, or the new mechanic.

I just wish it got a proper high resolution treatment and fixed some of the issues the HD Remaster brought with it. Hell, one day I hope to see http://www.re4hd.com/ get officially endorsed or something for how much effort and love went into that.
What if the reason they've been releasing those "Visit the ______ Region!" videos this past week is because this is finally the game that has every region in it?

I can't find the exact quote now but I remember someone either at Game Freak or on a TPC account said the next games were games fans were looking forward to for a very long time. Wouldn't put it past them.
This is game freak we are talking about here. Lets not put to much faith in them like that.
I mean, it would absolutely explain why it's taken so long; assuming it comes out in November, it'll be three years since the last wholly original Pokemon game, which is a hell of a development cycle considering how it's been an annual franchise for the past few years. Still not gonna get my hopes up, but I feel like something that's always been regarded as a pipedream is actually tangibly doable for the first time, I can't wait to see what they do with the Switch tech now that Let's Go is out of the way.
I highly doubt anything special about the Switch Pokemon. It'll have the same old graphics with jaggy edges and weird frame rate. And i cant wait to play it.
I wouldn't be surprised if it looks EXACTLY like Lets Go.

That would be funny since the proportions went from super chibi in gen 6, to not chibi in gen 7, to semi-chibi in LGPE.
i'd be a little surprised. if they revert to the tile-based format instead of sm's more open concept areas that'll feel like a massive reversion for no reason. let's go at least has the excuse of being a remake

I actually kind of like the semi-chibi look. The chibi-avatar style looked nice in Gen 6, and I just wasn't the biggest fan of how stuff looked in Sun/Moon.
