My only complaint is that Pokemon still don't run up to each other to do their attacks. The last time I saw battles done like that was Pokemon Battle Revolution for the Wii

I think the problem is there is just too many damn pokemon to animate. Thats why you could ride pokemon in Lets GO but probably not this, because they'd have to animate All of them instead of just 151.
I think this game looks fantastic! My expectations so far are totally met!
Here's hoping they have decent customisation options because boy that male trainer is bland. Female trainer is a little better but the Sun and Moon sameface hit me hard.

I don't get the straight line complaint when the last few pokemon games have all just been a straight line in a circle.
Maybe its just me but I'm having a hard time being excited for new Pokemon games. Its not a negative thing, its more like "oh new pokemon games are out, neat" and then caring very little
Like I only bought Sun cause I was in Wal-Mart and happened to see it there. I don't even think I've gotten to the second island and I bought it 2-3 summers ago. I didn't even know Ultra Sun and Moon were a thing until two months ago.
Maybe I'm just tired of the stock standard pokemon loop of "fight gym leaders, stop villianous team, capture legendary that's on the cover". I know Sun and Moon did something a little different with the Kahuna stuff but it stillbfelt very samey.

Altho, I'll probably just do what I did with Sun/Moon and wait for the "Ultra" version. By then, most of the info will be known and I'll be able to refer to it so it doesn't become a frustrating experience.
