Exodus comes to Steam in February 2020 if you're willing to wait. I love both the previous games, but I can't be assed to get yet another game client so I'll be waiting till next year.
My night vision goggles disappeared. I found them in the terminal, but after sleeping and customizing my loadout, they're gone. I can't find them at the original spawn location either.
Shit doesn't work for me with my 1070. I click new game and it just crashes to desktop. Nothing has worked from DX12, DX11, new drivers, game update, running in non-fullscreen, etc. Not really sure what to do at this point tbh other than refund the game and wait until this shit is fixed for good.
The uhh.. Taiga forest act, towards the latter end of the game, is absolutely fucking GORGEOUS. Unfortunately it makes my computer run like absolute poopy butthole but still
Wow, every guide about how to clear the first area perfectly are wrong, like, completely every one I read said that you can't kill -any- cult members, ever. That you have to even clear the church without hurting anyone too This is just completely wrong and it's way easier than they're letting on
Are you sure it's the GPU? I'm on a 1070 and it has been flawless. I'm not on the latest driver, as it fucked up my browser video playback. But I doubt that's your issue. Tried to disable things like your audio drivers?
Why does using a scope... even while indoors, cause framedrops?
Yeah, I tried various drivers, no luck. I've even tried rolling back to the previous 4 nvidia drivers too. Hasn't worked.
Why does the game randomly lock you out of the train? I just completed the first "Quest" in the second area and... I can't enter the train. Every door is shut
I'd say so. It's still not as open as stalker, but I think it finds a nice balance between somewhat open maps and scripted sequences.
It's the motion blur, I'm pretty sure. On Caspian the crew move all the stuff out of the train and into the building nearby, probably because a metal train would be hot as all fuck.
So for giggles, I decided to acquire the uhh, "unpatched" version of the game. It actually fucking runs. The updated, legit copy doesn't work at all but the less than up and up does.... Also take a look at this: https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/133677/efb28ba4-c8ab-4b3a-ada4-b5286a3c738c/image.png The menu is an actually rendered location so changing the base FOV changes the menu.
the other games were like that too. one time i opened the menu and the camera (assumedly) spawned in the main menu area at the original coordinates i was standing at, so i saw the camera fly real fast over to the main menu area after it was done loading
It's great, but don't expect stalker 2 or something. The atmosphere will definately draw you in if you're a fan, but gameplay and story wise they're pretty different
...does a scope exist for the pneumatic rifle? I found a night vision one but that's... not exactly practical. Also can I kill the tribals/thugs? I know they have slaves among them so I... haven't shot a single human in the Caspian area
There is a scope, but I only found it way later on And yes, you can shoot everyone except the slaves. Mission givers will be very clear about when you should hold your fire
How do I even distinguish slaves? The first mission they appeared in people were yelling about them attacking so I had to knock them out
Slaves don't have guns and won't attack you, they're usually doing the menial labour so don't shoot anyone who is cooking or mining.
In the first missions, no clue to be honest In the last two that matter they will be almost naked and wearing only some rags, I wouldn't worry too much about it
... some guns don't work with certain suit upgrades because Artyom turns his wrist away while holding them. Holy shit how did no one catch that?
what?
no? It's just... how the game is. Like I have to manually check my watch for weapons like the bullpup because god forbid I want to see the motion tracker Also great I've bugged out my flashlight, I no longer have one
Yeah I noticed that too Although I only use the shotty anyway for the creepy areas where I actually use the motion tracker.
Ah right, guess in never noticed because I didn't like to use that attachment, even then I looked at my compass like every hour or so.
If you're in Caspian get in the van and toggle lights then get back out and try it.
So apparently you are supposed to get this van but I can't seem to get it to like me. I looked it up and apparently there is a building full of bandits and a scripted mutant QTE and car keys and everything, but literally none of that happens to me? When I got there the building was already quiet, empty save for several mutant bodies, no attack or choice or anything, and walking up to the van doesn't let me interact with it or anything. Any help?
did you get to the roof of the bombed out building there's rubble you can walk up inside of the building facing the northern wall
I will go back and make sure I tread all the way up, I do remember ziplining down wondering why there was this important seeming empty building next to a van marker I can't do anything with.
a guy jumps you at the top, he has the keys to the van
