TF2 General Chat & Speculation Station V17 - Ms. Pauling Won't Stop Calling Me

For those of you who dont have time to watch, all the update information in this video can be summed up entirely as:
BIG NOTHIN'
with the exception that we have confirmation that they are working on shit from certified valve sources
do you guys reckon it's worth making a classical map now or is it just too late to start
Define "classical." An A/D map that takes place in a ca. 1780 French chateaux?
He didn't actually say that though, your statement is factually incorrect.
What he did say, was that the other teams/gabe/the reddit visitor etc. gave him the same "the team is heads down focused" runaround that he even admitted they gave before JI.
They've been "heads down focused" for over 500 days and have produced squat. This is not new information.
These emails answered were "recent" emails. That means we *recently* got confirmation that they are working on shit. That's the "new" info. Doesn't mean it's the heavy update; Never said it was the heavy update. They are working on shit, and that's all.
And that's the reason why I said this video was a big nothing in terms of stuff to learn about the update.
"They're working on shit" we have known forever.
We have not known that they are *still* working on shit. There have been enough nutters saying that TF2 development has ended and that there is no "proof" against that - so there ya have it.
Anything else you are correct about, we learned nothing new. We, on facepunch, atleast.
I'd say there have been an equal amount of nutters claiming the heavy update has been imminent since JI, and yet here we all are with diddly, going on three years later. For Christ's sake we've named threads after the idea that a heavy themed event was just around the corner.
I just wish there was something to indicate the heavy part. Cause I like heavy.
JI came out october of 2017, come the fuck on, it hasn't been even close to 3 years, it hasn't even been 2 years. At least try to get your facts straight.
maybe if we play the video backwards vnn magically will spoil the update to us. i mean its not like an outsider's report on the tf team wouldn't have acess to that kind of info.
this is awesome thank you. If you have a chance, ild love to DM you regarding the photoshop methods you used, as im trying to create fixed good quality HUD icons for all the classes as part as one of my projects, as the current ones are severly outdated
is that k?
Hoo boy, today's one and only match of TF2 was a fucking doozy. Loaded up onto Frontier, and I shortly discovered that Blue had TWO heavies with aimbot AND zero bullet spread hacks. And the best part was: they were also two of the worst fucking heavies I have ever seen. Neither of them had any situational awareness whatsoever. They were literally letting the hacks do all of the work for them.
For the whole match, I was constantly demolishing them from behind, and around corners (including the corners of the train cart itself). We still eventually lost, because one of them managed to start spawncamping the rest of the team, but it took them like 5 minutes to capture the last point. Absolutely pathetic.
I guess it's that time of month where the hackers make new accounts because I've ran into a few lately myself. No snipers curiously enough, just spies who weren't very good and a heavy clearly using a wallhack.
Spies and Heavies? Pfft! I saw a group of Scouts with crit hack who were constantly swinging bats and screaming “Medic!” line.
What are you even trying to say here? Are you pointing out factual inaccuracies for the sake of it, or are you attempting to absolve Valve of blame for taking an eternity to provide basic support for a live service product? I don't know who you were responding to, as I don't see any comment about three years, but given that someone did post that, they aren't entirely wrong. MyM launched in July of 2016, so it has been almost three years since Valve mentioned a potential class pack for Heavy.
Under no circumstances should it take that long to deliver on such a promise.
....Yes.
Wondering if my PC is finally starting to show it's age with how much it seems to studder in game now-a-days... But at least I can say that I've been having a fun time running around with purely stock spy at least and doing relatively well. I need to get better at landing shots with the revolver though lol.
Maybe If my PC can run higher end games the same like Doom 2016 just to see if there are any hick ups there I guess... Maybe it's just TF2 doing it...
Source engine is weird voodoo magic that sometimes runs better on a craptop from 2012 then a modern day, top of the line PC.
Get off 2fort, hightower and similar trash maps and you'll find situations like these will be far less common
It serves no purpose. You're doing it for the sake of doing it; who cares if it's hyperbolic? We've waited too long either way.
People that don't want misinformation spread? Come off it, it's not like any productive conversation was going on with that specific comment anyway.
Sometimes trash is ok
Why do I have such a high MMR for Casual mode? I rarely play it. Does it only track your KD when determining that number?
Plenty of matches today with no sign of obvious cheaters. Played mostly KotH with a little bit of payload sprinkled in though if that matters any...
Where you go to see MMR for Casual?
i figured out how to see your casual rank
Ah, cool to see... They got me ranked at just under 1500 points currently...
I got 1404,
WHAT DOES IT MEAN?
What is a "high" number in mmr in the first place. We have nothing to go off.
I did a google search for answers, looks like the highest one I saw was around the 2000 mark...
Found an old Reddit post from 8 months ago as well...
