Get rid of the 0 and try again, i don't know how or why that popped in
Not to be pedantic, but 630 is not part of a valid IP address.
You're a little late chief, I already fixed it
Incendiary Cannon (Classic) put this in tf2
TF team fucked up the way setting enemies on fire works so it's literally impossible to set non-Pyros on fire outside of basically not touching the 4 existing flamethrowers. The new flame mechanics handicap custom weapons super hard. They literally won't work if you even try to mess with them, or I would
Just make it a flare gun tho
As in there's literally no way to set enemies on fire with modifying attributes (the main way to make custom/modified weapons) right now. It only sets enemy Pyros and corpses on fire.
So then you're telling me the TF2_IgnitePlayer function in SourceMod doesn't work? I haven't really used that function lately so I've no clue if it is or not. I know Valve made a change at some point to how PowerPlay works because it only lasts about 8 seconds before fading away now.
So I attempted my first MvM .pop file. I had decidedly mixed results. Instead of one medium health tank (for testing purposes in the wave) I ended up with 10 tanks sharing the same space and HP pool. When you destroy a bunch of tanks at once, the Administrator sounds like she's having pretty fantastic sex. https://wiki.teamfortress.com/w/images/6/6d/Mvm_general_destruction01.wav https://wiki.teamfortress.com/w/images/c/cc/Mvm_general_destruction02.wav https://wiki.teamfortress.com/w/images/3/3b/Mvm_general_destruction03.wav https://wiki.teamfortress.com/w/images/8/8c/Mvm_general_destruction12.wav https://wiki.teamfortress.com/w/images/5/5a/Mvm_general_destruction04.wav Imagine all of those playing at once.
I have a very limited knowledge of actually working with the plugins, right now i don't even know how to use Custom Weapons to modify stock weapons, I'm basically working entirely off Jug's Balance plug-in, which lets you mess with built-in attributes. If you'd want to talk with me a bit so I can advance work on my server (i'm super handicapped by only being able to work with the attributes, and it messes with the base weapons a lot, like removing their base attributes completely disables their skins, killstreak, strange, and minmode first person model functions), then I'd love your help, but yeah, the ignite player attribute is just plain broken. In my experience, it doesn't work, the only thing it does right now is light corpses on fire if they're under its effect when they die. How it works on Sharpened volcano fragment still I'll probably never know. Being exposed to the attribute system really shows just how fucked the general functions in TF2 's weapon systems really are. They basically created a whole new system in-game specifically for the new flamethrower mechanics, and it's implemented in such a way that messing with them will just straight-up brake them.

scorch is tf2's incendiary cannon.
As I am back working on the Visual Fix Pack, here's a little sneak peek. This is the original pre-2012 muzzleflash and pseudo-3D shells for the Minigun. Yeah or naw? https://giant.gfycat.com/AmpleFirsthandKudu.webm
should probably add $ignorez to the vmt so it renders above everything.
If you're talking about the muzzleflash, it's the same thing with the vanilla one.
This seems like a good opportunity to post some old gold: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X-XiGFlW9Jk SEX, SEX, SEX
What would be the best way to get in touch with the TF2C/TDC guys? I'm wondering if I could get a hold of the Linux server binary (server_srv.so) and the modevents.res file from both TF2C and TDC for the purposes of developing a SourceMod include akin to tf2.inc and tf2_stocks.inc for TF2C and TDC. The modevents.res file is just a list of all the events in the mod and the various shorts/strings/bools/what-have-you for those events. As for why I need the server binary (and why Linux specifically), it's so I can load it up in IDA and view the internal variables for things like TFWeapons, TFTeams, TFClassTypes, TFConds, customkill identifiers, etc. Having that information would greatly aid me in developing the includes. For example, I could easily do a TF2CTeam enum, like this: enum TF2CTeam { TF2CTeam_Unassigned = 0, TF2CTeam_Spectator = 1, TF2CTeam_Red = 2, TF2CTeam_Blue = 3, TF2CTeam_Green = 4, TF2CTeam_Yellow = 5 }; But I don't know if the teams are listed in that order internally.

how's pyro doing in TF2C? cause damn those flames look sexy
Their public discord would be your best bet.
Thanks!
So the reason why they aren't communicating is because there were complaints over knowing the balance changes in advance? No, that's not right; that isn't why people complained, at least to my recollection. People were unhappy because after 470 days of waiting, they anticipated more than what they were shown on the blog. After all, the blog post mentioned that the changes shown were only "some" of the tweaks being planned, and that others weren't decided upon yet. That's fairly vague, and given the amount of time between updates, it's understandable that some of us were unhappy with the result. Valve, if you're reading this, it wasn't your communication that people took umbrage with, it was your failure to keep our expectations in check over a long period of waiting. Your response shouldn't be to maintain radio silence, it should be to engage in further transparency. Why do updates take longer and longer to complete? What should we expect from them? Knowing these things will enable us to forgive the wait, regardless of whether or not the updates exceed Jungle Inferno in size.
About Karma Charger: I wish him luck, but it sucks he left at this moment, considering I was in talks with him to do a promotional video for the Visual Fix Pack, and I don't think there's a TFTuber that would be more fitting for that kind of a video. Any ideas for a substitute? I'd be willing to contact anyone.
You know just because theres still people with the title of being on the tf2 team doesnt mean theres an update in the works. Thats a pretty big stretch.
i was really sad to see the new pyro playstyle weapon, the dragon's fury, wasn't stylized similar to that, or even more like the incinerator from duke nukem https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/231968/37bf2cc3-643c-4b64-b87b-22a47bef76d1/image.png
You dare speak of that blunder when you've got the most potent and satisfying fire based weapon of the 90s right here? https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/143764/af0e9d4b-4aab-418a-9dba-6862ce73db01/image.png Blood's napalm launcher's legit
We're working on a mandatory update for TF2. The notes for the update are below. We should have it ready soon. - John ---------------------------------------------- - Improved how vote kicks work in matchmaking to reduce potential for abuse - Fixed a case where vote-kicked players could rejoin a match - Added Asian BBall Cup tournament medals - Updated model/materials for the Rasslabyxa Cup Helper medal - Updated RETF2 Retrospective finalist medals to be paintable
If this fixes cheaters in groups rejoining matches I might get back into the game. I always tend to drop it when cheaters start becoming an issue again. I don't know what it is with East Coast USA but I'm constantly running into hackers every few matches.
top scorer on enemy team is obviously cheating. can't votekick him because he's on enemy team cant switch teams because they're already ~Perfectly Balanced~ who thought this shit up
We get no updates for 2 months and now we get 2 updates this week? WHAT'S HAPPENING? Was Gabe making you work on Linux stuff Jill? Blink 3 times if you're in danger and need us to send help.
