Hello everyone, as you may now, and thanks to degeso, Mikko, OddDoc, and my good friend Owhenky, a CS:GO Alpha Build was leaked.
I would like to share with everyone my new discoveries, stuff, etc.
Here's a picture of Aztec found in upsellmenu.swf:

This would probably be better suited for the Valve Cut Content thread. But thanks for posting anyway. There's some cool stuff in there like the Aztec paint over and the "How To Play" screenshots.
One of these days I hope to see cut maps like de_embassy and de_alleyway surface. Embassy in particular had tons of finished assets. I really wonder what it looked like.
This build has been out for weeks and several people have had it before it even leaked. You're quite a bit late, plus a lot of these "findings" were in newer betas as well and have been well known for quite sometime.
To save you sometime:
The M4A4 is untextured and the code in the binaries are actually for the M4A1-Carbine from CSS.
The Galil and TMP are in the files, however, the Galil and TMP can not be accessed in-game and the Galil is un-animated.
The Scar-17 can be found with-in the game files.
The cut factions "Georgians" and "MPSSC" are in the files, however the "MPSSC" is un-textured.
The VTX and PHY models to the Yakuza are in the files.
Female factions were in-game at some point as seen by the Yakuza files.
There's a .max file in the build that contains early models to some factions, and in there are parts for female players.
The Credits video actually credits Turtle Rock Studios. Phil Robb stated in a interview that they had worked on a canceled CS project before their contract expired and that the assets from it were reused in CSGO. Odds are, they worked on CStrike15 and had no idea it evolved into CSGO.
There's bad clipping in one of the bomb sites in Dust that allows you to hide behind a rug.
This build is not from PAX 2011, that was a console build. However, this build is likely the very build shown privately to ESports members before the game was announced.
"v_tm_professional_arms.mdl" is the alpha view arms seen in the "How to Play" screenshots.
The MP5 is in the game files, however it still uses the CSS animations and is completely missing UV Maps and has no texture because of it.
There's an announcer for weapons and round start. Timer also uses an HEV sound to alert game start and game end.
There's likely more, I'm only scratching the surface.
Let's spark up this thread with an actual new finding.
Here's the overview to the cut map "de_cranes":

This would mark the first time we had any information on "de_cranes" excluding the fact we knew it existed.
Ah yeah, that's the stuff. Looks like it was going for a vertigo skyscraper theme judging by the shadows and industrial props.
Iit's always nice to share alpha / beta stuff!
Also, , I would like to know more about the Depot map (https://counterstrike.fandom.com/wiki/Depot)...
By the way, where did you find the de_cranes overview?
Oh, and there are some overviews of L4D maps in the CS:GO Alpha:

Wouldn't that Vertigo map I've seen 3kliksphilip talking about recently be the spiritual successor to de_cranes? Not sure as I'm not a big CS:S/CS:GO guy (at all).
Concept Art was in later builds and possibly the final game, and the L4D Overviews are in Left 4 Dead, all been known for years.
"Vertigo was in the GoldSource era". I had to Google...you weren't joking;

Yep, I remember it in a weird mod for CS 1.6 that replaced all the weapons with cooler looking weapons (a stockless AK-47 was my favorite) and added really good bots to it. I assume the map's been around since before then, but that's where I first remember it. It'd be cool if they brought Survivor back, but it wouldn't be near as fun without the environmental hazards.
That snowfall cs_office exterior banner is real nice
One of my favorite games ever! I can play it for hours. Btw I play it through esport platform where I can find new csgo teams and players. Want to become a pro and take part in tournaments with the pro teams in the future. It is so entertainning!
