Looks like nothing but good stuff to me. I'm hopeful that they'll have another medium-sized update that introduces new content like a new weapon or two before June.
Sucks that they nerfed Spitfire, but it's not a big enough nerf to stop me from wielding two of them.
Might want to get your eyes checked. https://www.reddit.com/r/apexlegends/comments/bdvs0i/111_patch_notes_patch_going_live_around_10am_pst/
It was at normal framerate in game. The problem was I had the wrong settings on Streamlabs. I was doing 1080p60fps when I should have had 720p, which is what I stream at.
I guess that with its fire rate and accuracy the nerf to spit isn't that drastic , but still , 20dmg less in 10 hits is 20dmg. I'm liking the longbow buff I already was doing decently with it now I can always pick it over the scout .

Anyone else find bangalores voice lines incredibly cringe? Like yes no shit bangalore care packages drop rare shit.
CHALUPA HERE. rice, beans, little bit of sour cream on the side. sour cream is made by fermenting regular cream with certain kinds of lactic acid bacteria. mom would always have it at the table. Tables are where civies eat instead of the DFAC.
Still confuses me that they gave Bangalore specifically, and only Bangalore, bonus comments for item ping voicelines.
I always thought it was her flexing on her military knowledge
Octane has similar voice lines but they are less informational.
Yeah, but I think pretty much everyone agrees it's obnoxious. It's like when you're playing a Call of Duty or Battlefield game for the first time and that kid next to you is railing on about how awesome that gun you're using is in real life and how it's killed hundreds of Nazis/terrorists/emus and how one day he's gonna fire one in real life.
Bangalore is a weeb.
I love the "R-99 here, she's fast like me" voiceline. Honestly tho, I love all the Octane and Pathfinder voicelines. I don't get the hate for Bangalore tho, she's just a dweeb.
I recently went back and tried to go through Titanfall 2 on the hardest difficulty. Man that shit is ridiculous, got a bad checkpoint in the middle of enemy territory and I've been stuck for a while now. Too stubborn to restart or lower the difficulty.
Season 1 has been a let down, and the lack of communication and basic bug fixing has felt horrible Add the hot fixing that is undocumented, I have to say I don't have a clue what respawn is thinking Going to rant a little here because it upsets me just how bad it feels like respawn is fucking up Before I continue, I don't advocate working super shit gamdev hours to fix things but it also feels like they don't know what they're doing Coupled with the fact that throwing more devs at the problem won't really fix the problem I worry the game won't recover a playerbase unless things change really soon With that being said, I don't understand why this is still in game: Audio issues Footsteps not registering Circle takes forever to close, you have about 3 teams by 2nd circle Dropping still has collision at the start Hit registration got broken and hasn't been fixed Pathfinder hitbox is broken Gibralter + Caustic 10% reduction is broken from the get go Infinite wraith portal Knockback buildup on supply crates (although this one is fun so idc to much) But then they prioritize other stuff, like they hotpached Gibralter's shield showing up over your UI when scoped They never mention fixing things and they never really discuss any release dates Sure some of these things are hard issues to fix, but some seem frighteningly easy Of course, it did take them about a month to actually provide tools to diagnose crashes so lets not hold our breath (even though a stack trace seems like an obvious feature) Add a pretty horrible battlepass which also feels like a chore because you need to grind all 9 legends and throw in server slow-mo, hackers, and hit reg issues and I feel like Apex is a flash in the pan For the record, I really like the game but am just worried about long term player retention, QoL and bug fixing, and just general handling of issues I don't really crave new content like it seems most of the subreddit demands, nor a surplus of apex packs (but it feels really shitty to stop receiving them at 100), I just want the base game to work properly Now I hear they are nerfing wraith and lifeline instead of fixing up other legends that are terrible (like mirage) and I'm sitting here wondering what the hell. There's like a million other things better than doing that
I have been out of the loop for a while. I thought Pathfinder's hitbox got fixed ? And what is broke about the damage reduction?
It got fixed in the sense it got buffed, its broken in the sense that you fail to register a lot of bullets that hit him The damage reduction has issues in that it deals damage to the shield but some damage bleeds through to the health, which means it looks like you broke their shields but you didn't, and has another fun bug where you can insta-die if you get killed with having armor up
Source on the initial statement? Like some video?
just to piggyback off this discussion - https://venturebeat.com/2019/04/23/vince-zampella-wants-to-improve-apex-legends-communication-with-players/ The studio doesn’t have experience creating content, or even knowing what kind and how much content it should be making, for something like Apex Legends. This has made the team quiet while they figure things out. As Zampella noted, it’s hard to just tell people, “We don’t know yet.” He also made it clear that work on Respawn’s new game, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, will not interfere with Apex Legends. Two separate teams are working on those projects. none of this really bodes well with me, on one hand I'm glad that the new Star Wars game isn't pulling resources from Apex, but at the same time I thought that's why the game was being drip-fed updates I really hope Respawn figures out a plan soon, this has been the only BR I've really enjoyed and I'd hate to see it fizzle out
Kind of hard to find a great one, this one sort of covers it but there's definitely times when it feels like a full connect but it entirely misses, and given that there's also hitreg issues in the mix it's hard to say its entirely pathfinder, but at the same time it feels like it happens way more on him than any other legend Here's a vid where thiccer skins visual hitbox issues (my issue with a friendly fire test is that it doesn't account for the hitreg stuff) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jc6fDbMh6k0 And here's a gif with full connects failing (but again could be attributed to hitreg issues too) https://www.reddit.com/r/apexlegends/comments/bd2nd5/pathfinder_hitbox_at_its_best_lul/
After playing a couple of games, I remembered a few gripes, specifically the shield not appearing immediately on bodies and server slow down (which I didn't really directly mention but is a real mood killer) The shield is huge because it really affects back to back fights which the game is prone to because bullets are extremely loud I have some other smaller things I wish would be fixed, but they are more QoL f shouldn't mute your teammates when you type (this one annoys me because they fixed push to talk inside chat but then added this with the exact same bug) In legends screen, know which legend has first kill + amount of bonus XP available Gib apex pax for 100+ Battlepass grind is battleterrible Anyway that's enough complaining for today, just don't want apex to go down the gutter of lack of updates and lack of player base
TBH i can't remember another game that had such an amazing launch, but the dev team dropped the ball so hard on. Apex was bigger than Fortnite for a hot minute, and was pulling the most views on twitch. But the post-launch experience has been nothing short of disappointing.
https://www.reddit.com/r/apexlegends/comments/bhbhi9/an_update_on_apex_legends_from_respawn/ Basically we're working on fixing stuff, nothing is fixed yet, no new features until next season, patches eventually, but not weekly (why?), commitment to update the community more often From my viewpoint it means more of the same unless they actually get way more transparent about progress and what we can expect to see and when No discussion of economy/apex packs and a basic guarantee that anything big will probably come next season
I guess they don't want to do weekly updates because of the crunch that comes with it (see Epic Studios as an example).
Was about to post this, as much as weekly is good for players, it's clearly not good for the devs
Having updates weekly does not directly correlate with crunch time, a biweekly schedule is basically the norm for fixing things I don't mean updates like new content, etc. I just mean fixing a bug and then pushing the fix when it's tested, which could easily have a turnaround time of a few weeks It feels like they are directly trying to opt out of patching frequently and going for a seasonal release schedule, which is absurd for bug fixes
