Because, as I already said, at the start of playing a character, GSP is very sensitive. If you are at 4,300,000 with a certain character the game assumes that you have the fundamentals and skills for other characters to be roughly around the same area. That's why you are being matched with 3mil GSP people as a 120k GSP Shiek - because you A: Have not played a ton of matches and B: have your other character/s initially at a decently high position. The more you play, the more stable GSP becomes. I'd also argue there is a significant drop in player skill level starting sub 4k - and I somehow doubt that the skill level did not change.
Wait, if you guys had access to Smash 4 - and by extension a Wii U - why did you buy a Switch just to play MK8D? Didn't you have a copy of MK8?
I don't have MK8 for Switch because I had it for Wii U but I imagine the people who double dipped did it so they didn't have to keep their Wii U hooked up to play the game.
I still haven't gotten past 100cc on MK8 because I promised myself I'd 100% each previous game in order before moving onto 150cc... That was five years ago and I still haven't found my MK64 cartridge, so I'm still at one out of seven complete (well, I 100%'d MKWii and MK7 long ago, but wanna do a "victory lap" on those in release order). And I still haven't even opened MK8D (which was bought for me as a gift with my Switch) until I 100% MK8... and I still haven't found my MK64 cartridge.
The only reason to get mk8 was for modding, mk8d has inkling, more missing characters, and a vastly improved battle mode Also i only had a wiiu because of sm4sh Not a big console gamer anymore, i only get consoles for specific games these days. Right now smash ultimate is the only game i have for switch
I had gotten MK8 on the switch despite having it on the wiiu with all dlc because the switch is portable, and when docked it plays at a higher res than the wiiu version does. Also battle mode doesn't suck in the switch version
I know MK8 discussion is off-topic but i love the new cops and robbers battle mode so much, they actually added a fully-fledged fun gamemode to battle which blows my mind. it alone is reason enough to get mk8d over mk8

I laughed for like 30 seconds at Pit's face in the last panel
Jesus, that title is almost pathetically click-bait-y.
Title of video: Ganondorf in Smash 64 Content of video: Ganondorf in Smash 64 Description: "This is an amazing mod..." Not seeing the bait here. If your point is that the title should've clearly denoted that it was a mod, then I think you should also consider that Smash 64 is 20 years old and most people would know that Ganondorf wouldn't just now be discovered as an unlockable character and even then the description clearly denotes that it's a mod without you even having to click read more.
Yeah isn't Dark Samus just, like A brain and nervous system in an exoskeleton?
Yeah. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/1867/abfbe6f4-2147-4b57-9db1-1176bf800ea5/image.png I wish there were 3 eye glints on her intro screen animation.

It took 15 years for people to figure out how to (legitimately) play as Master Hand in Melee. Don't give me that "the game is old" shtick.
the real N64 capture means they loaded it onto a flashcard, and it properly played on real hardware, which they recorded from. nothing about it implies that it isn't a mod.
Pick your battles (this isn't a good one)

wait what
Can you see how many people have downloaded your Mii fighters and stage creations?
It wasn't a "legit" way to play Master Hand. The reason it took 15 years to discover is because it was a glitch. Master Hand glitch
It is still "legit" since it doesn´t require anything that the original cartridge/software doesn´t already contain (such as modding tools or a gameshark).
I think the closest thing you can get to that is seeing how many people gave your shared creations a yeah.
You know I'm surprised giving the whole fighting game thing, that ARMS didn't get to have a character in Smash.
I'm certain all the DLC will be third party.
Piranha Plant tho.
I think he's referring to the fighter pack DLC which they said would be comprised of characters belonging to series who weren't already represented in Smash (although that doesn't necessarily eliminate ARMS depending on what they're counting as 'representation')
Sakurai talked about this in an interview, the roster for the game was confirmed before Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and ARMS were released. He said that if not for that, there would absolutely have been Rex and Spring Man as fighters in the base game.
Personally I think there's a slim possibility of DLC that turns assist trophies to fighters. Though it'd be dependent on Sakurai. I doubt it'd occur.
