Ubisoft might not want a character in smash or Nintendo doesn't want a Ubisoft character in smash. Its probably as simple as that.

I know what you're trying to say, but there's a difference between a game getting a single port on a console and a series essentially getting popular worldwide because of it's placement on a Nintendo console after it almost didn't leave Japan.

Because Sakurai and Kojima were (and still are) close friends, and both were able to pull the needed strings to make it happen Snake almost happened all the way back in Melee, but Kojima asked too late, so talks for Snake began the instant Brawl began development, which is why he appeared in the now famous Trailer #1 for the game.

Rayman is such a classic character who might aswell was the posterchild of Ubisoft games back then. He was what Mario and Sonic were to Nintendo and Sega respectively. I just want another 3d Rayman game, man

Same reason as Cloud. Arguably one of the most iconic series in gaming and has a ton of potential for a move set in a way akin to Inklings. Could be a fighter with an arsenal out of their ass.

I don't see what's weird about getting a Dark Souls character. It's a very popular game series.

If they were going for a boss rep I would've expected Ornstein. Artorias is definitely iconic and a fan favorite, but Ornstein is basically the series rep at this point, being in all 3 Dark Souls.

I'm far more interested in seeing clunky fat-roll Soulsman's moveset translated into a Smash Bros character than a flashier and more mobile boss.

Solair fat rolls at the gargoyle and medium rolls at O&S. There's your chunky. Give him lighting spear as a side b. Smash attached KS are two handing the sword. Solair is also known to a degree outside the actual souls community. So he would work better than Artorias or Ornstein. But the real and proper souls rep would be the asylum demon. Then we get butt slam

Nah, they'll give us Blighttown as the Dark Souls map. Because walking thru poison in every fucking Souls-like is such a fun mechanic! Altho, I could see it being a Spirit Board fight.

I only want a Souls rep if they integrate the stamina system somehow. Like, everything like rolling, blocking and attacking uses some stamina, and if you stamina isn't empty then you get a damage bonus and good iframes on your rolls, but if you run out completely by spamming too much, you lose that damage bonus and wind up with a fat roll that has bad iframes. Attacks that hit the opponent use no stamina, attacks that miss deplete it, and dodging or blocking an attack always depletes it. Be patient, make every move count, don't aggress recklessly, basically think like you're actually playing a Souls game.

That's not from the true Fortnite source material, though, that's just from his cameo appearance in Marvel's Infinity War movie to promote Fortnite. A better Fortnite-inspired Final Smash would be Thanos getting a Victory Royale.

It's a bizarre, contrived scenario where allegedly you can determine the ballot by using Google in Europe Should make it obvious that it's almost certainly false unless they have PR searching for leaks so hard they ended up swaying entire searches, but I would be lying if I didn't say that I'd be okay with the roster for the first pass being Joker from Persona 5, Artorias the Abysswalker from Dark Souls, Doomslayer, Banjo-Kazooie and Ryu Hyabusa from Ninja Gaiden.

Of Dark souls characters, why in the fuck would it be Artorias over Solaire

I'd honestly rather have the Chosen Undead be the Dark Souls rep. He could be like Shulk where he could switch between different spells/ weapons on the fly that can adjust his play style. Though I guess by that logic Soul of Cinder would be a better choice.

Chosen Undead should be able to parry of course, but also swap between one handed with sword and shield, and then two-handing the sword for more damage but a much more precise parry window. Give them Great Fireball or Lightning Spear as a side special and Homeward Bone to recover.

Being able to swap between different armour sets for alt costumes would be a good way to handle it. Imagine if you could pick between Chosen Undead, Bearer of the Curse, and Ashen One costumes. You could also pull a Simon/Richter and have both Chosen Undead and Solaire, the only difference needed being voice lines and taunts. Not that they're likely to have any echo fighters in the pack.
