If "Let the Battles Begin" and "Fight On" weren't the only FF7 songs in Smash Ultimate, I absolutely would have used J-E-N-O-V-A as the music for this stage since it sounds similar to Foregone Destruction.
Imma need a level code assuming it's not already taken down
Damn, I really wish I had a Switch Online account so I could share mine with you guys. I've been waiting for this since launch.
The twitter poster included that in their thread:

Why is it when I'm spectating someone in an arena it's just fine but when it's my turn to play it's laggy off and on. Is there any half step to improving your connection outside of "just get the wired adapter" because the placement of my switch VS my router doesn't really allow for that. Any internet settings I should fuck with? It's wack on both the normal and the 5GHZ connection.
You aren't watching the match live when you spectate. Unless the match is tremendously laggy, you'll never catch up to the delay and experience lag while spectating.
Is Joker's stage is banned in competitive play, even with hazers off
Too soon to tell. (and if they already made a decision other than "temporarily banned while we deliberate on a final position" they're fools)
hazards and probably

tried to recreate a level from risk of rain as a first, they really need to allow you to create shapes smaller than 2x2.
I'm gonna be a party pooper and put in my two cents that I don't like Mementos, even hazardless. Solid platforms and slopes just really mess me up.
~15 online matches in the past hour, ~13 were Jokers.

Battlefield or Omega form Mementos, on the other hand, are absolutely wonderful. Just a real visual treat.
The Joker pack feels really style over substance IMO but I do think the way they handled non-gameplay content (ie the custom victory screen transition, stage colour schemes, etc) is a good predictor for what the other DLC packs might have. What I mean is, think of a franchise and then try to think of as many custom 'behaviours' for it as possible, and you have a decent list of DLC candidates.
Things like the Dark Souls "You Died/The Demon Has Been Destroyed" messages for when the match ends, or Rare Ware eyeballs on everything and a jigsaw screen transition effect. I definitely think all the other DLC fighters will have this kind of content included. Remember, even Ryu and Cloud had custom stuff (the sped-up music on last stocks for Ryu's stage and the looping victory music for Cloud).
That's just how fighting game DLC releases go, it'll clear up pretty soon as the hype winds down
god forbid people are excited and want to play as a new character
Been making more stages!

PRISM FOREST
Asymmetry! Mostly. Kinda. Literally all but the marble part in the center and the two platforms is decoration. Inspired pretty heavily by those places way up north where natural ice spikes like this form, visually I think it'd my best yet despite being so simple. The slope is too shallow to exploit for locks or infinites with the usual moves, and actually adds a little strategy, giving characters with linear or arcing projectiles more to figure out, and making it tougher for them to camp.

TURBULENCE
Just cause the plane blew up, doesn't mean the fight has to end! I have a soft spot for the over-the-top concept of "fighting on falling debris" so this was a natural concept to tackle now that we can do moving and spinning stuff. The three metal beams (two stage chunks and one plat) that make up the actual level move up and down a bit at different rates, allowing every character to access every platform. The chunks of exploded plane in the background all have different up/down and spin rates to make them look less cycle-based, and I made sure nothing collides no matter how long you let it go. There's also a noticeable wind gust blowing upward, effectively reducing gravity like you'd expect for being on falling stuff, but it also transitions into HARD gusts pointed out if you get knocked too far offstage. Don't get swept away!
God forbid i post a funny meme image to complain about that
Ooh, I was trying to make something like Turbulence myself earlier. I'll have to give this a download when I buy a Switch Online sub.
Prism Forest just seems like a flipped Mementos gameplay-wise (granted, with the top platform moved to other lower corner), but I do like the aesthetic.
I still really dislike the preferred rules system. It's just not fun to play outside of a preferred rule set.
Does anybody have any smash experience beyond a casual level with either of these controllers?

I love the OG gamecube controllers to an extend but the misinputs are getting to be too bad for me
You wanna know something funny? I actually hadn't played on Mementos yet, Prism Forest was actually a remaking of a Smash 4 stage I made called Duality, with a platform above the high ground and low ground instead of just low.
Does the stage builder let you select any track as music?
From my experience, the Gamecube-styled Pro Controller seemed to have worked well enough for me. Although, I'm probably just not paying close enough attention.
I just use the standard pro controller
It works really well and it's a controller you can use outside of Smash.
The PowerA wired controller is terrible because it lacks some features that games require, like motion control.
Wireless is decent but has stuff stick clicks and I'm not a fan of the disposable battery thing, I'd rather just get an actual Nintendo brand pro controller.
I have the wireless gamecube style controller. Not bad, I got it a few months ago and i play quite a bit and haven't had to change the batteries yet.
the notches for the joystick are good, c stick feels a little weird but overall not bad. I use it only for smash, it doesn't have motion controls im pretty sure so i just use joycons
