That would imply that it's about sharing information and not about making a name for yourself as a leaker.
We've already seen like six relatively well respected leakers get blown the fuck up since Teaser Trailer #1

If the Rayman leak showed us anything, even that kind of stuff can be faked.
As in, credible in-motion gameplay footage
The ESRB leaker even went through the trouble of displaying some scenarios that would've been extremely difficult or time consuming to fabricate, like a four player FFA

So is there any actual idea as to who the reveal will be tomorrow? Everyone is saying Banjo or Erdrick but I feel like there's just as much chance it's neither one.

My bets are on Banjo, Crash Bandicoot, or Erdrick. At this point it's entirely possible it could be a Minecraft rep because of the new Dungeons game just announced, but i still think that's not nearly as likely as the other three.
Though I personally don't care who it is as long as it's not another anime-esque fellow or lady. The Joker spam on online was hell enough.

It makes sense that an Assist trophy essentially deconfirms the character, but not a spirit.
It makes sense that a spirit would deconfirm a character because they already had all of the DLC characters (of the first wave anyways) deconfirmed when they put spirits in. And before you bring up Tree Pose and Captain K. Rool, those are variations of characters, not the normal versions. The normal versions of characters are always represented by fighter spirits, and so having a normal spirit representing that character is pretty close to a deconfirmation.

guess ill have to accept that given Ubisoft is mostly interested in developing assassin's creed #52 and rabbids nowadays, rayman as a gaming icon is destined to fade into obscurity, with not even smash bros. being there to perhaps make him more relevant
