It might be a region thing, I'm in the U.S. and it takes me to a Solid Snake amiibo purchase page (a very early one, there isn't even any images).
Is it just me or does Banjo’s moveset look kinda generic/boring. I’m way more hyped for the hero since he looks like a fun mix between robin and shulk
I just now noticed that Smashified did a video for Chrono some time ago.

I'm actually really excited to mess around with Hero, MP management seems interesting to me. Also Banjo, really glad not to see any cars.
It's exactly what I expected to be.
Running: Talon Trot
Up-B: Shock Spring Jump
Side-B: Wonderwings
Neutral-B: Egg Firing, double-tap B to turn it into Breegull Blast.
Down-B: Grenade Eggs
Final Smash: Jinjonator
I'm happy for both character's inclusions into Smash. My only beef is Hero has a fucking counter/reflect move. Please Sakurai, no more reflects/counters.
It's seems to be a spell and not a move.
Probably a very expensive one at that. Hero is like Robin: all about ressource management.
Honestly kinda refreshing to see something a little more simple from a recent fighter. Don't get me wrong I like how creative they've been with the movesets lately but there's been a lot of micromanaging with newer fighters that I find hard to wrap my head around.
The fact that this is apparently Gumball's voice actor makes this video so much better.
I mean that's still a move and from the looks of things gives him what is essentially a franklin badge on demand.
I wonder how MP recovery is going to be handled?

the last time I got this emotional over a video game was the final battle in Mother 3
since banjo isnt releasing until fall its safe to assume its an early WIP
DQ guys look flashy and all but all of banjos moves look completely brand new and not ripped from anyone. he looks way more interesting to me.
i think its great they managed to appeal to two audiences in smash via a single direct
As someone who doesn't have any connection to banjo and was personally not too interested in having him in smash I do appreciate it looks like he has one of the more unique movesets of the roster. It felt pretty bad that a lot of Jokers normals were pretty identical to other fighters, not that it's a big deal of course moves will be repeated but I appreciate the fact that Banjo looks more unique. Also now that we have the shoe in characters out of the way, I really hope we get some form of FPS character, it could be Doom Guy, Master Chief, Gordon Freeman, The Heavy, hell I'd even take Captain Price for the comedy in it. Personally though my most wanted characters period are Hornet from Hollow Knight (The Knight would work but I feel hornet has more space for a moveset), Nero from DMC, or G-Red from Gotcha Force.
As the thread's title suggests, The Show's Over.

overall, I'm very very satisfied with both newcomers, even with the Hero, even if I have next to no connection to DQ in the slightest.
some of his normals do look similar to what other sword fighters have, but there is only so much different stuff you can do with a one-handed sword, and Smash has plenty of those by now so you're bound to see plenty of similar moves. However, his spell variations for seemingly every slot, coupled with the mana mechanic makes him look like something we have never seen before and very unique, though I have seen plenty of people refer to him as "diet Robin" even if he feels a lot more fleshed out with his spells
Quick question but why are people posting on facepunch after yesterday? Garry keeps flicking the switch on this places power so it's best to just move to knockout now if you're going to.
We go down we the ship. Some of us just wanna stick it out till the end I guess.
I still find the name "The Hero" pretty funny. I wonder why they didn't give each skin a name like with the Koopalings. Is The Luminary the only character with a title like that?
Yesterday Gary killed facepunch for a handful of hours redirecting straight to KO and he's been flicking it on and off. We're at that point.
