If you don't have a switch pro controller, get a switch pro controller, it's a good controller.
I'd recommend getting a GC Adapter just because you probably know at least one other person with a Gamecube controller, and then you can get 4+ people matches in Smash going. But then again there are games besides Smash. But on the mystical third hand the GC controllers do work with other games, you just lose a few buttons.
I've used the gamecube controller since melee fir Smash.
Until I picked up the Switch pro controller and realized how much better it feels.
Something looks really jank on how he pulls opponents in, like they just teleport into the ground.
Geez, slowing the video suggests there are only two frames in between "caught" and "in the ground", and one of those is right next to it, no wonder.
I tested the grapple frame by frame real quick and there are twelve frames of hitstun upon the hit of the grapple (this was with a toon link at 170% so that may vary) and four frames before the opponents hits the ground (travel time). Five more frames of hitstun once they hit the ground and then they do their knockback upwards based on percentage.
Fast af. Joker must have some thicc ass forearm muscles to be pulling donkey kong back at that speed.
I've been inspired.

(creations so far)
It's 3am and I have work tomorrow morning but I'm hooked on making stages, more so than actually playing the game for real.
Banjo-Kazooie
Heads tilt slightly. Notes travel across the level clockwise. Hard to get the splhapes just right but I'm okay with how this turned out.

Weird. Try it now. I think Facepunch's link function glitched out when I backspaced on something.
Ah, I guess the video was only at 30fps, guess I should have expected that.
my buddy did something

I wanna see someone do one of these stages with tool-assisted gameplay and controlled item spawns. Just go full DBZ with it.

Makes me wanna see an "only Final Smashes can KO" option for when the FS Meter is turned on. And maybe meter-fill items like PSASBR had.
On that note, I wonder if we'll ever see Coin Battle back in an update. That was fun to do every now and then. I feel like if there were an actual "get to this much" goal for victory it would be more popular. Same with "get to this many KOs" thing in a bona fide Score Battle, with the timer just being an option on all of them (since no one actually plays Time Battle as it currently is).

I'm back with more obscure 2hu references ( code: KG3VYXJV ) - last one trust me
It's Kune Kune

How about a thread dedicated to stage sharing?
Yeah I do wish they kept Coin Battle. I’m sure it’s because not a lot of people used it but it was prett y hectic if you had items on.
I really want joycons that have Pro's build and comfort. That'd make me play handheld again.
This is a misconception. The only third-party songs that are listed unused within Brawl are You Can Do Anything (Sonic CD), the Metal Gear Solid main theme and a port of the Beatmania remix of the MGS theme. The song they were going to include that is misunderstood as being from SMRPG was Toadwood Forest from M&L:Partners in Time (Mori No Kino. Forest of Mushroom. The PiT name was Kinopuru no Mori, meaning Mushroom Forest. Forest Maze is Hanachan No Mori, meaning Wiggler's Woods or Forest of the Wigglers) A second, cut PiT theme with a generic name also comes right before, and Brawl song IDs had patternistic organization.
I really hope Capcom gets another rep, they've got a whole bunch of ones that could be tons of fun. Phoenix Wright, Monster Hunter or Dante are just a few examples. Come on Nintendo, where's the next DLC announcement? I hate having nothing Smash-related to look forward to now that Joker is out.
Doesn't say ¿quieres?, 3/10

we already knew why Square Enix doesn't let Nintendo do anything with their music, but just thought i'd share this to help add some more context to the fact.
Why would you ever want music to be on Blu-Ray when the soundtrack fits on a CD?
This is less flaunting Blu-Ray-Sony affiliation and more just cutting off large swaths of potential buyers that use CD players.
higher quality audio for people with audio system setups
