Is PvP enabled? If so, it probably should be disabled.

Whoops. As it turns out, when you change your name, it actually changes. My IGN is actually E_102_Gamma. Pardon the mixup!
Ah shit, here we go again Nitronik
Not sure if this is an addon because I saw this on a few servers, might be achievable with some gamerules. But I suggest to have the amount of deaths above player's heads. Couldn't really find out how to do it but I'm sure someone here knows more about this kinda thing than me.
Fucc yiss, the nostalgia! IGN is Martinz_

Given that in order to bring people back on Fridays, their player data would have to be erased it's likely that everyone's death count would always be zero.
Huh, so everything gets wiped each Friday?
Only for those who died. You'll start each Friday as a "new player". Everything you built will still be there, but anything in an enderchest will be erased. Regular chests will still be untouched.
I'm down to play sometime frogofdeparture
Emperor Scorpious' Amazing Things To Do to Secure Spawn: Build large public farms, two 9x9 plots for wheat, carrots, beets, watermelon, and potatoes each Find and secure fair sized animal pens for sheep, cows, and chickens Find and breed horses so everyone can have one if they find a saddle Build a gigantic stone wall around spawn and light everything within. Inside will include all of the farms + perhaps the village BUILD THE LIBRARY: Which will include cartography stuff, list of coordinates of far off player bases, public enchanting, public alchemy, and a nether portal Any resources that can contribute to this will be much much appreciated.
yeah man just no bully

I always found the immediate metagame rush to communualize and stockpile pretty much all major resources within a week with large scale near-automation to be one of the fastest ways to take away any sense of "no relax" aside from a silly accident like starving while afk. Minecraft is easy enough as it is, add in a bunch of people focused on getting endgame gear within a few hours and the allure sorta fades unless you just want to creative build with the risk of maybe falling to your death mid-scaffolding. Especially with how sporadically people can play if they're death banned, a handful of active players all but remove any challenge for any players that start after like, day 5 and then it's no different than any other FP MC coop build server imo. No need to rush the endgame gear and huge autofarms. Just my 2 cents.
Any of this is just for the spawn to get people started. Everyone who starts has the option of not taking any of the resources provided by the community. Also afaik, you can't starve while being idle, hunger only accumulates as you move, whether it be walking or swinging a tool.
I mean, yeah, but if you find a chest in spawn with free potatoes, emeralds, iron, stacks of log, etc., it can quickly make someone (new players particularly) feel like the challenge is already gone and that they're playing in a "tapped" world of which their contributions are meaningless because the major server-wide goals (Nether, End, etc.) have already been stripped and mass produced for anybody to use. Personal accomplishments feel less valid if you could've just gone to a public iron grinder and idled until you got what you needed. But I mean, ideally, MnR has always been sorta lite RP rather than meta heavy. Again, just my 2 cents.
Heyy our group that used to play on your old servers were just talking about wanting to play on a hardcore server. Would you be willing to whitelist the group? If not make sure to just whitelist me :P IGNs: Syndicate_Panda CreamLord dabenben Ugondein THABUSINES

Did y'all completely loot the village near spawn AND kill all the villagers?
from what I was told it was already deserted
Can villages even spawn without villagers?
There were bandits that came through
I am now The Deadâ„¢ Fuckin' Pillager with an axe did 9 hearts of damage in one attack (unless lag caused them to attack twice, which might have been the case)
I kind of am confused by this also. If griefing/killing is already against the rules, isn't that already punitive enough? I'd still like the risk of friendly fire in the heat of a battle, especially since, like I said, there's not much else to be concerned about. 2019 FP MC isn't quite populated enough that players can really get away with murder-type stuff but I still think accidents or consensual dueling isn't exactly a problem we really have to deal with considering theft is way easier to get away with and there's no lock plugin obviously.
