Anyone know a good build for engineer/toolbox? And any tips to use properly?
Been dealing with rapier-shield bois a lot easier now. Spamming thrusts just decimates the bad ones, but those who are really good with it still dick me down. Good thing they're pretty rare.
I dropped the toolbox entirely and use the blacksmith hammer as an impromptu mace. The no toolbox frees up room for double medkits and some actual armor.
For some reason this reminds me of the Lannister armor. Missing a bunch of gold trim though.

Toolbox medkit blacksmiths hammer for loadout, 1/2/0 for armor, you won't need much of it since you're being the busy little bee you are but its not uncommon for you're teammates to abandon you. I've topscored multiple times using this particular weapon set and 0/3/0 so armor up at you're discretion. The blacksmith hammer s a tool first and a weapon second and should mostly be used for protecting yourself, you will die in a duel using it however once you use your medkit you'll have an empty space and there seems to be an awful lot of swords just lying around...
You can win with a frying pan in this game, easy. Hammer is no different - don't be afraid to 1v1 with it if you're confident in your skills Bail if any more than two people are looking at you funny. The hammer is effectively a less effective axe. It's tiny head and weird range/swings means you can sometimes get behind shields.
It has NO range. That's its problem. Sure some players are stupid and rush you but the ones that need to be killed will abuse your lack of range and all that will happen is you burning your stamina until you die. As an engineer your more valuable alive than taking a risk to end up dead. Secondly the frying pan has a 20 cm longer reach than the blacksmiths hammer. EVEN THE DAGGER HAS A LONGER REACH. You can hit people with the hammer but you might as well be hugging them.
Thanks ill try this out
How do you deal with rapier thrust spam?
Rapiers are the easiest weapon to chamber, just do a thrusting attack and you're likely to start one. Immediately hit them again. Rinse and repeat until dead.
Show your dominance and thrust them back. Alternatively show your dominance by using a bigger dick weapon.
I've been running a similar kit for awhile but rarely get close to top score, usually hovering around the middle. How many kills do you end up getting with this loadout?
Alternatively, strafe to their side. Stabs require entirely manual tracking, and if you're close enough, you have a very good chance of them missing. The kinds of players who spam rapier stabs aren't the kind who are good at that sort of thing, anyway.

A few. Usually somewhere around 10 but a ton of assists and Medpack points. I also have fairly good mounted crossbow aim and can consistently hit 3/5 shots on average with it at a range of 50 meters.
I cannot figure out Lute Bot. How do I play the muisic without having to go into the full console? THe tutorial said to have it in "New" mode, but I do and it won't work.
Is the Mordhau grip worth using at all on the longsword? What kind of damage difference does it give?
Check the weapons advanced tab in the armory. You can view the stats of strike/stab damage along with the different grips.

Might explain why, I suck ass with the mini-ballista my medbag usage changes a lot during matches; sometimes it gets lots of use and other times it seems no one notices it. I've also had the misfortune of throwing one down right before the line shifts, which ends up just giving the enemy healing.
Anyone got a list of songs that sound good on Lute? Megalovania isn't that great without editing and the only one I think that's consistently good with none is E1M1.
I find people really underestimate the spike ramps from the toolbox. You can effectively corral the enemy team down particlar paths if you get them up, forcing enemies to either swing at the structure with their puny weapons doing little damage (unless they use a war axe, pickaxe or sledgehammer but not many people use them or try to destroy structures with them), try their luck jumping around it without getting impaled, or just take the long way around and waste time. Its great for fucking destroying horses if you find a particular loop the rider tends to go in and wall it off. Since they're ramps your teammates can walk over them, and they give a bit of height so archers can more easily avoid friendly fire. I generally go no armor, longsword, toolbox and fire bomb. Since i need to restock the toolbox I tend to spam the fire bombs in particular ways and usually get easy kills: throwing behind the enemy so they cant retreat without immolating and thus limiting their options while my teammates wipe the floor with them, or using it on enemies busy sniping so they need to relocate or die, or tossing it in front of structures (not touching them though) so enemies can't risk destroying them until the flames burn out, or using them to block off paths that my spikes didnt cover. If a teammate is being mobbed by 3+ people i sometimes just toss it at them, since with friendly perk it barely hurts them (2 DPS i think) and theyre probably going to get eviscerated anyways so its worth a shot. Ive actually saved people doing this since the enemies ignore it and die or scatter around it and thus give him space to back up while i run in with my longsword. I dont have the points for fireproof though so i have to be careful with the self damage. Generally at the beginning of the match any existing structure spots you can build will have a wooden mallet lying around, so i just toss my longsword to build them in my first life. Once I die its usually gone, but theres other spots in the map with structures and not many people notice the mallets.
I saw a friendly running around with a throwing axe stuck in his skull, so I picked it up and threw it at the enemy group nearby - only for the same friendly to move in front of me and get the same axe stuck in his skull again.
A sneaky thing you can do with spikes is place them at the base of stairs and put them right behind sandbag walls because people instictively press w after jumping over them, also putting them around corners never disappoints.
The fact that fire pots do little damage for the first few seconds before ramping up to do enormous damage is a genius idea.
Anyone else getting kicked from servers every time it changes maps because the server is full even though I was in the server before map change?
