Awesome, thank you!. Seems like the server's processor is able to keep up just fine however the memory leak still hasn't been fixed. It's slowly but surely filling up all the memory. Currently I have 12GB assigned (old server had 6GB) so it's having real trouble filling it up though. Realistically I'd expect it to do a restart before it's even able to fill that up.
I'm thinking of making the switch to the new server this friday. So instead of a banlist wipe there will be some downtime followed by the upgrade to the new server.

I like the spire but because we're using redstone blocks we can't climb it using ladders. Lectern is a cool idea, I'm all up for that.
I've heard some concerns about people thinking we'd be transferring to a new host. This is not the case. I still run the server and I'll make sure 100% of the files will be migrated to the new server. The current IP (mc.glxy.dev) will be re-routed to the new server IP so you don't even have to change that. As for the suicide issue, I'm working on it.

The Lectern is a good idea. We could start building a stone brick "Tower of Souls" or something. Nothing too large, Like, 8x8 or so, but we add a new layer of brick for every death. We can build stairs along the inside and windows every couple floors. Every level could have a sign designated to a death so that you can read them as you go up the stairs.
It would be like a vertical timeline.
Alternatively, to be more time-line esque, build a layer of stone once a day and cluster signs on the current day's level to visualize when a lot of people died in a short time frame, etc.
Of course, a lectern can do all the same but if the structure idea is what you guys want there's other ideas other than redstone blocks
I noticed the redstone blocks not having ladders right away, but I kind of appreciate how much effort it takes to add a new block.
I'll add the lectern and start on the tower of souls idea, because I quite like it. I'll start out with as many layers as the redstone block has so we have a pattern to start with.
Would be cool if you could have the redstone tower in the middle of the tower of souls and we could keep extending that. But maybe that would make for an architectural mess.
I think that's very fitting.
How about instead of redstone, make the tower out of glass blocks and stick a beacon at the base eventually?
I think making the tower out of something valuable is more fitting as a tribute. Honestly, I wouldn't mind spending time mining diamonds for each death but I'm afraid they'd get looted. Redstone is costly enough to mean something while not being something people would steal.
I like both ideas in all honesty. And they both have a good motivation behind it.
The new server has successfully been migrated and the banlist has been wiped. Please do not edit the current server address as that will remain valid.
Note: The old server (54.38.78.93) will be running the "2MAX2RELAX" test map until the end of this month. If you're banned and need to take out your anger somewhere, feel free to destroy something on that server for the time it remains online :v

I set up a Goodwill at spawn! You can drop off any blocks or items you aren't using (IE if you don't like diorite, or you have more cobble than you'll ever need, or if you usually trash your rotten flesh, etc) and it'll be stored in the chests here (which I'll expand if they get filled). And if you're gathering stuff for a project, you're free to look through the chests and take what you need. There's no fee or cost involved, and donation is appreciated but fully voluntary.
