This is more for fun PVP. If you want it to be equal you can arrange that beforehand I suppose. I mean, we're not a PVP server in the sense where it's competitive and people have hidden bases and what not. What even is an MNR server with PVP disabled.

As I initially said, you can put whatever shell around the farm you want. You're seeing the guts now because there is no shell, and no interior. As long as the shell is solid blocks within the basement going straight up, you can design it however you want. Technically you can do recessed windows in some parts with a solid wall behind them to make the exterior aesthetics, and you can also obviously go outside of the footprint defined by the basement.
If nobody wants to design something, I'm going to make the entire thing out of stone bricks.
PVP was never on AFAIK.
The only murder in the game was Sgt Napalm killing someone I forget by going invisible, surrounding the guy with dirt blocks then pouring lava down the center, almost instantly killing him.
I forget why, but it was someone that annoyed most of us real fucking bad and while it wasn't deserved, it wasn't totally uncalled for either IIRC
Well, there was another incident in the past, with a player causing another player's death. And it was me.
We had a courthouse in Spawnville, and on the back of the courthouse there was The Hole™, which was basically a 6x6 hole that stretched all the way to bedrock levels, meant to be the execution device for our convict (which I legitimately don't remember). Before the trial happened, I went to check The Hole™, only to discover that there was water at the bottom, with an escape tunnel to boot... so I decided to prevent the convict from getting away by leaving the water (to arise no suspicion), but rigged the escape tunnel with explosives (jumping on one of the steps in the later staircase would cause you to fall down into a pit filled with 5 TNT).
IIRC other people followed the convict after he jumped down, and one of them beat him to the staircase, blowing themselves up instead.
The past edition was fucking wild.
I went into the dark hollow of my flowing island when no one else was online, and because it's high enough off the ground that mobs don't spawn anywhere else, it turned into a gauntlet.

Those EXP orbs are the remains of half the room being cleared. As you can see, by the time I make it to the other side of the room, mobs are spawning again where I started out. It's never-ending. I ran out of arrows pretty quickly and had to scavenge what more from skeletons. Which lead to a few creeper blasts, and...

Ignore the creeper, when I fell I was left at half a heart.
Super dangerous, but after a few minutes of fighting I was able to get a stack and a half of gunpowder ^^

these shaders, do they make it incredibly laggy?
Most of them will take a chunk out of your FPS but are still playable. The top one is SUES-Renewed-1.0.0 and runs at a decent FPS on my machine
The bottom video is with a ray tracing shader which is boarderline unplayable. It was running at about 15 FPS when I recorded that short clip.
I was reminded recently that after the murder, I was sentenced to death in the pit. Before hand I had placed water in it so I wouldn't die and made an escape tunnel safely away, so I managed to just run away. I forget what happened after that, but Breakfast Buddy and I then made an assassin's guild under the volcano, you needed fire resist potions to access it.
