i wasnt really a fan of cryptic passage. a lot of the maps were too flat and big. death wish, though, is the bomb
I still cannot believe Deathwish was made by one single person.
Deathwish is a case of someone using 99% vanilla assests, and it turns out to be the bomb.

It's probably Samuel Hayden.
Lots of the new stuff reminds me a lot of Demon-Eclipse/Hellforged
That mod has lovely artwork

Maybe the game is called eternal because this entire apocalypse was caused by Hayden's search for eternal life.
I always thought it was because the game will take place across multiple different dimensions and not just Hell and Earth, since time and space is "eternal" so to speak.
Or, maybe it's because the Doom Slayer is some kind of immortal, since I've seen theories about that and that would mean that his crusade against the armies of Hell is "eternal". Why else would the demons put him in a sarcophagus instead of just killing him?
Marty and Hugo have said that it's called Doom Eternal because they undertstood the community's annoyance at the reboot's title and didn't want to confuse maters more.
So they Called it Doom Eternal because the fight between Good and Evil is eternal.
totally not because Eternal Doom would sue them from 1999
demon eclipse hellforged is fucking great and you should play it
I have a confession to make in that I'm playing Sigil blind on UV for the first time.
With High Noon Drifter.
I don't know if I could legitimately do the crusher section of paths of whatever without that slide move. Mod is dark as shit even when I turn software renderer on.
Set sector light mode from default to legacy, it will be more similiar to classic Doom's
Is there a full list of official addons for retro fps games, that were released for free years after the game launched? Off the top of my head, theres sigil for doom, and dopa for quake
Going back to older works, I figured i'd post the map i'm most proud of...

Man those sure are some awesome note blocks.
Smells like another cacoward winner coming up.
That island in the middle is also really cool looking
;)
The correct hardware rendering sector light mode is "Vanilla" which, as its name implies, is based on vanilla Doom's original lighting model. Romero designed Sigil for the software renderer, aka Doom's intended look.
GZDoom's "Legacy" sector light mode emulates the lighting model in Doom Legacy 1.42. There hasn't been a single reason to use Legacy lighting ever in the past 10+ years except to cheat while playing on-line in Skulltag/Zandronum.
Spider bitch thinks that because she has a humanoid body we can't kick her fucking ass?
I still think that's Samuel.
I don't remember Sam being that pretty.
Also the codex implied that he had lost most of his brain tissue and he was mostly AI by time his body was created
He still has his frontal and temporal lobes, which could be what's seen in that glass dome. It could also be explained by some demonic magic fuckery since the Spider Mastermind and Arachnotrons exist, after all.
I kinda hope it's a Seraph.

Is there a reason why the original skyboxes had to be swapped out for pure light? Also, does anyone know of a way to mod the skyboxes back in?
