This month's Slayers Club challenge: https://slayersclub.bethesda.net/en/event/5WzSMD9Ek9FxU2H0RoofwP/june-community-challenge-vengeance-upon-thee https://images.ctfassets.net/rporu91m20dc/ujACsGO0qcXg2oj4eDW84/1cf9356c4e2fa53e79e519639aa62a34/June.Community.Challange.Full.Preview.960x540.png
The big things are resolution and Global Illumination. I use a 1070, an i7-6700, and have had no opportunities to upgrade from 8GB of RAM, but I can do RTX at 60% resolution scaling from a desktop 1080p at around 50-55 FPS. With GI on low, I need to set scaling to 50% for playable framerate. GI in particular is the main killer, and some areas honestly look better with it off.
just recently stumbled upon this, I know it was a doom 2 mod for some time but would anyone say it's worth giving a go? I think it looks interesting. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IH08xxZuH-o
I tried refreshing the page several times because it wouldn't load like a dumbass
give it a go feels like Arx Fatalis in reverse, where you start from the bottom (where slaughter of forge's habitants happened) and dig to the surface. some tracks sounds cool but feels out of place, that's my only complain try the free version and maybe wait for the updates for retail version

She also canonically has a giant pp I blame the Doom general on /vr/ for making me aware of that
Do elaborate. Is that actually true?
literally the first thing i thought on seeing the thumbnail was "wow the artist for this draws a lot of muscular dickgirl porn"
That demon with the praetor-ish armor and the energy axe is perfect i fucking love that design
Well...: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1072150/discussions/0/1643164649224496587/#c1640913421074869685
what are those staff toting zombie looking guys?
I found some digital artwork of what the mural was based off of. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/107118/af665327-7993-4df3-b349-900be7640748/image.png The hood guy behind the rightmost priest seems to be missing, and is that a human soldier I see on the right there? :eye:
Apparently it was confirmed in an interview last year, that there will be some third person cutscenes.
I was wondering if that look from Doomguy was just made for trailer, interesting.
Well we know Doomguy will have cosmetics skins from the Slayer Club website.
This shows the hulking monstrosity behind the priest on the right hand side way better. Looks like he's holding a giant mace.
Doom Eternal is probably going to disappoint or piss off a lot of Doom/Classic FPS purists because of course it fucking will, but it looks fantatstic from a raw artistic perspective
Honestly the only thing I'm really hoping for is mod tools. They said they were working towards it last year. To me it won't matter too much so long as I know that I can fix what I think is wrong with the actual gameplay.
In all fairness, SnapMap was hardly an ideal substitute for proper mod support (Very good for those looking for something the likes of Halo's Forge or Far Cry's Editor offered, especially on consoles where you wouldn't be seeing the likes of Brutal Doom nor Rise of the Wool Ball, that much it's due) and the multiplayer had a lot of stuff it really would've been better without (I liked playing a straightforward strafe 'n' shoot multiplayer for once with even Halo straying from that, but the Loadouts, Demon Runes, Weapon Limit & so-swift-it-was-borderline-pointless Unlocks really let it down for me, when all it really needed to compliment a modern checklist was the gluttony of character customisation). But I was glad to have my expectations delightfully exceeded with the Single-Player as both Wolfenstein: The New Order & The Old Blood managed (I definitely roared my way through my Mick Gordon-scored Rippin' & Tearin'), and it's definitely nice to see Eternal find opportunity to really lay into it's metallic & demonic visual side with sleeves up. I'm just hoping Besthesda's bollocks is kept at most to a bare minimum (They've definitely been shoving it as of late, although largely through the Softworks games, but at least they let Denuvo go for Rage 2 in a jiffy), and perhaps a little less incremental upgrading (Just give me a new gun & a new mod, and I'm one happy strafe 'n' slayer!).

This has been live for months
Hm, they were talking like it was new? Is it just the prizelist or did they just start counting?
They mentioned it because that's how you get into the Orion play test.
