There is, the problem is everyone needs to have their own Switch, copy of the game, and the person who's hosting it has to be connected to the internet.

I'm really excited for the new music from Koji Kondo. New, official tracks in classic soundfonts is just fantastic.

toadette's custom sprite is CUTE
I find it funny that Nintendo seems to change the four player lineup almost every single time they bring it back. All of a sudden having Toad and Toadette is perfectly fine when it was hidden behind a code in NSMBUD.
That versus mode might be worth the price of admission alone, holy shit.
Was hoping for an overworld creator as well. Also, can multiplayer people go offscreen? Because I can't think of any other reason why offline local coop can't work on one switch.
yes they can go off screen.
We've basically got all the assets to remake Super Mario Bros. Deluxe and its Battle Mode, except now with 4 players trying to screw eachother over at HD resolutions. And further beyond that, too. Though a Kaizo stage with 4 players either versus or co-op, dealing with Nintendo netcode as completely random strangers in the first-ever online Mario multiplayer game, is going to be obscenely, hilariously stupid.
We haven't annointed the thread yet https://i.redd.it/zmm6vrcz6b501.jpg There we go

You joke about undertale but I would totally take a shovel knight game style.
Most Genesis Mini talk has been here, so I'll go ahead and post it in this thread: Games 21-30 are: Beyond Oasis Ghouls ‘n Ghosts Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle Golden Axe Phantasy Star IV Street Fighter II: Special Champion Edition Mega Man: The Wily Wars Sonic Spinball Vectorman Wonder Boy in Monster World For a list of just third parties, so far: Konami: 1) Castlevania Bloodlines 2) Contra: Hard Corps Interplay: 1) Earthworm Jim Capcom: 1) Mega Man: The Wily WArs 2) Street Fighter II: Special Champion Edition 3) Ghouls 'N Ghosts Disney (developed by SEGA, however) : 1) Castle of Illusion: Starring Mickey Mouse 2) World of Illusion: Starring Mickey Mouse & Donald Duck Thunder Force III was also third-party at the time of creation, but Technosoft was purchased by SEGA, and thus they own the Thunder Force franchise, now. Ten more games to go, already includes a lot of amazing gems! If you're obtaining the Japanese version, then they also got Treasure's licensed fighting game based on the Yu Yu Hakusho manga among titles with third-party licensing, though Japan also isn't getting Castle of Illusion or Earthworm Jim.
All these people thinking the future style might be based on a pre-existing game. What if it's not based on any game? Crafty style? Or... a mario game yet not revealed.
YES, this compilation makes the sountrack of 1-3 sound even better, I just hope it doesn't get slowdowns. Also if it hasn't been confirmed already that Genesis Mini better have Dynamite Headdy
The fact that they gave Luigi a new sprite for the SMW theme but not SMB3 really bugs me
https://twitter.com/MarioBrothBlog/status/1128833184332963842 Yeah not a huge fan of that new design tbh.
he looks like the lemon guy from adventure time
That's the Angry Sun's dad, the I'm Not Mad I'm Just Disappointed Sun
I think it looks creepy. Actually, it kinda reminds me of Face from that NES Godzilla creepypasta. https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/creepypasta/images/1/1f/Likedogs.png/revision/latest?cb=20130412001618 Which is even more incentive to stay the hell away from it. I already have ideas for a ghost house level featuring that version of the sun.
Kinda fitting for the series it's based on.
The loss of amiibo costumes is tragic. I recall them saying "we put them in because who wants SMB1 levels otherwise" so taking them out just... ech. I mean aside from the novelty you're losing out on small Mario having 2hp so all the levels that took advantage of that are now kaput. I get it's probably for online play reasons but it still sucks.
I never got the original Mario Maker but I think the SMB1 style has appeal for sure. NSMBU is the one that needs more appeal. I get that it has the walljump and mid air spin but now that we have 3D World as a style the look of NSMBU looks even shittier by comparison.
NSMB style was kinda disliked at first but became the default in the community after most casual fans left. Mostly due to the mechanic differences like the wall jump/spin/ground pound etc. I can still see NSMB getting used instead of 3D world for the spin alone, and it's own power ups like the propeller cap. NSMB1 lost it's only original thing.
I really want them to add playable characters in place of amiibo costumes. Like you could play as peach, link, bowser, etc. They could add them as an incentive for ammibo. Though it's probably going to be the mii costumes.
Mystery Mushrooms being gone is a huge blow to amiibo imo. Very few games had a use for every amiibo, and very few recent games have had any use for them at all. Mario Maker at least could be counted on to give you something for every single amiibo released around that game's prime. Nintendo are coming out with amiibo faster than they're coming out with functionality for them. Remember when BotW got updated to be compatible and the old Smash amiibo for the Zelda series started flying off the shelves? A single update could be enough to push sales for amiibo. t. someone who has like 20 amiibo and 0 use for them
Game Informer has done a few profiles over the past four days for MUA3 characters, but they're not terribly exciting since they're just running through the character abilities and are only a few minutes long. https://twitter.com/MarvelGames/status/1129084100340584448 Elektra is in the game, though.
I really want a demo for MUA3 before buying it.
MUA3 looks like a bootleg warriors game calling it now
