Nintendo is really incompetent when it comes to online stuff and even when you can play with friends like in splatoon 2 the only easy method is to play horde mode. If you want to play turf war with your friends you have to wait for one of them to join a lobby then everyone has to queue up and wait until slots become available to join the game and THEN it's a 50/50 chance you're on the same team which sucks because when you lose you don't get much experience at all. If you want to play league mode all your friends have to get to rank B+ via grinding solo ranked and then you can play together.
Not being able to do online co-op with friends and rando's only is such a fuckin nintendo move and another monkeys paw curse to add to the extensive list.

This is a bit late but if you want a huge cross over kart racing game, Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed is very much worth your time. Particularly the PC release, I think it has the most crossover characters out of any version of the game.
tbh I loved that game, and being the same studio making it, I would've thought team sonic racing would be a nice followup
man I was disappointed, not just in characters but everything feels a lot.... lamer in comparison to all stars
Blame that on the smaller budget. For whatever reason SEGA decided to wait 7 years to make another kart racer which must've led to them getting a different, less experienced and probably smaller team (although supposedly it still runs on a heavily modified version of the SASRT engine). They should've just ported Transformed over and release it as SASRT Deluxe and be done with it.

So far nearly every character design I've seen is either terrible or bland, most of the characters suffering from serious sameface.
Marion Tennis will add two new characters to it's lineup, and a few extra costumes for the Koopa/Paratroopa and Wario/Waluigi, and be done with content updates. The last two characters are Fire Piranha Plant and Dry Bowser.

Heavy disagree. With the added notion that the game will very likely have a timeskip in which people get rid of their uniforms as said by a leak that already got a ton of stuff right a lot of the current designs are pretty fantastic looking and imo sameface isn't an issue.

The only thing imo that strikes a lot of characters as far as "same-face" goes are the noses, I'd argue. Other than that, the mouth and specifically eyes all come in pretty different versions and types.
Obviously I am not saying Three Houses doesn't have stupid character designs, female Byleth looks pretty stupid and so does that dragon plotdevice. But calling them bland, uninspired? Eh.

The more I've seen of the character designs the more I've warmed up to them.
When the game was first announced the few characters that were showcased had pretty boring designs but as they've been featuring more characters they're looking better in general. I still can't shake off the feeling they'd belong in Persona 4 rather than a FE game tho.
Was a fairly big member of Midway back in the day, but his biggest gig was VP of Disney Interactive before they got shut down. Went to Gearbox as a Producer in their publishing arm, but left not long ago.
