I've a mate who rolls billhook, obliterates riders and takes the horses to places where they will never be found again. He's achieved enlightenment.
Does the billhook do something special to horses?
Any hit (stab/trust) to the rider with the billhook instantly dismounts.
The halberd seems like it only does randomly on big swings?

I've only once dueled with horses when we both had lancers, shit was cool af. We made it as properly as we could, felt like a big scream in my head the closer we got.

Very limited use scenarios I imagine, but maybe stuff like standing on top of toolbox spikes and pulling the enemy into them?
get them closer. The closer they are the less time they have to react to your followups and when people are closer to you they often panic block so drags and accels work really well.

Most people are use to hitback on knock. Pulling is huge - it keeps them from effectively backpedaling as well.
Default is Stab to Push, Swing to Pull; Alt is Stab to Pull, Swing to Push.
Around teammates you're gonna want to alt-mode and spam stab to keep the enemy in close. Otherwise I like it the other way around.

The billhook has negative knockback distance, so yes.
Not just toward you, it tears riders off horses if it so much as hits the horse.

Atm im thinking of Billhook hit (pull) into kick, but it seems like I'd have to combo it, feint the combo and then kick, giving them a lot of time to leave kick range.

I'm still blown away how they menage find it and even how they get there.
the axe is really really good though on other modes outside of frontline, i have it as part of the beartrap collection of loadouts. range is shit, yeah, but get in and out with your swings and it can be deceptively damaging, It also decapitates archers and other unarmored heads quite nicely
