No need to be flashy when It Just Works™
Yeah, especially in Frontline since people are usually in the heat of the moment, no need to worry about specific chamber timings or mind games when one quick opening is all you need.
What is pragmatic is not always the most efficient. In frontline you want to kill as many as enemies as you can in as short of a time as possible to break their line. Yes feinting and morphing works but chambering is both a block and an attack that allows you to get out swings and maximize your damage output at little cost while also completely countering any morphs or chambers your enemies perform. I do not take issue with lack of skill but a lacking to learn. It is not difficult nor does it require a large time sink to be good at this game.
People finding the character select spawn location is fun. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/1844/e392bc78-f62f-4588-99bb-c1c6aee8c9e8/MordhauSpawn.webm
Yeah I logged in earlier to see a lute player performing Through the Fire and The Flames. Sadly I don't have video footage.
How do you counter someone using a spear and dodge?
a ballista
I'd probably attempt to run their stamina down and try disarming them
oh man playing Wardruna with this is so badass
Even Kizuna Ai is in on this. https://youtu.be/08B_an_dEac
Spears suck ass in 1v1's, because the more aggressive you are, the less of an advantage they have. Close the gap, get right in their face, and make them waste all their stamina by forcing them to dodge, or chambering their thrusts until you disarm them.
When I play with a halberd, I trade stabs quite easily. Keep the distance at max and make sure you're holding the halberd for maximum range. Unless the enemy sprint forwards and stabs, you can easily back up, avoid it and follow it up by running forward and landing your own stab. It works quite well against the two handed spears, but not so well for the 1 handed spears with shields.
Shoutout to the messer skin which is just a giant kitchen knife
Seen it used as a stand-in for a Katana in some loadouts. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/926/b9a63c80-407d-4daf-abc0-bad4349d6c20/image.png
Kinda bums me out that most level 2 helmets are just level 3 helmets with the visor up.
I love seeing what creations people can make in the Mordhau community. https://www.reddit.com/r/Mordhau/comments/bqlr81/which_way_to_el_dorado/

Gods OP. Plz nerf.
Got the fluted plate and I'm REALLY happy with it https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/646/eedfb3f4-2999-4a8d-80a8-aef0de8225da/image.png
So I spent 5+ hours in the middle of the night just to make a 3 minute video, and while I was editing I found out on the Mordhau forums that you could use console commands to record and replay matches, with a lot of camera tools - so it's all been for nothing. But at least I can redo everything now, and do it properly. Oh and unlimited ragdolls combined with enhanced view distance sent my computer back to the stone age. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/58145/97ade867-a757-4c79-a221-73e267d80b7b/56215456.png https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/58145/14ef0f68-85e0-4ed6-bfaf-ac040723c524/562645646.png https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/58145/eb6e88ed-e796-4728-a896-4ad0ce55c51a/56265656.png https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/58145/5dd265ac-540a-49a7-891b-356703262ea7/43543513564.png https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/58145/22f07d63-35c1-4bf3-8f67-b984bae65dcf/6246524646.png https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/58145/4255fbdf-37cf-4f1b-9c47-2a81ab17dcfe/45325324534.png https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/58145/05a0a87b-4b3a-45e8-85fe-ec6d930474cf/331456256456.png
Any plans for this to come to consoles? ill just have to stick to for honor for now
you can't just not give us the console commands because these shots are sick
Nothing concrete yet but they do intend to, mostly depending on how well it does on PC, as well focusing on it first and ensuring it to be a quality game before venturing out to other platforms.
Those screenshots are not made by the camera tools through console (Unreal Engine camera editor), it's just the spectator mode on a live show trying to capture what's happening. I will however do it the right way this time. What are the commands for replay editing? page 1 What are the commands for replay editing? page 2 Increase ragdoll limit/time ragdolls stay time and fidelity, these are the console commands, you can also permanently do it inside the game config files. You can also decrease the FOV below 30 in the configs, increase headbob effect, bloom, etc. Spectator Camera, Graphics Settings and the Watermark view distance and LOD:s/etc and some other things. This time I'm gonna see if I can use shadowplay since I've always used FRAPS for all my other projects. So the colour grading, and all other post-effects are made with After Effects and Premiere Pro (CS6). Have fun
I feel like I probably look like a cocky cunt half the time. My standard loadout is a 1/1/1 with a bastard sword and heater shield, using dodge, tenacious, fireproof, and acrobat. But I always immediately put the shield away and just use the bastard sword, unless I'm up against archers or large groups. Sword alone is just more fun to me, I don't like turtling. Although in terms of cocky I do like to taunt firepot users. Last night some guy threw one directly at me so I just danced in the fire until I was at 50 health, just to prove I could, then chased him down and beat his ass.
it's a faussart https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/221130/24608fbc-723d-4e15-8d21-be0c7d393cf8/image.png

As a person who uses bulky weapons, what's the best way to counter shields? Just to keep pounding into them or to keep kicking them? What does landing a kick do to someone's stamina?
Honestly, one single kick is really damaging to your stamina, so if you score two kicks on a shield users, just keep them on their toes and after a few blocks they should tire out.
