To me, if you're not gonna wear a helmet, you better have a long weapon, especially in frontlines, otherwise your head will get lopped off from a wide drag.
Also you will be focused too because you'll be considered an easy target.
So you have to take advantage of that and punish people who think you're easy, but not get swarmed.
If you have a short weapon, that will definitely limit what conflicts you can be involved in on frontlines.
It's just very limiting to not have a helmet, regardless of skill level.

It is increased damage for you, the enemies, and anything else that can damage you (Fall damage, spike traps, fire bombs...).

The Triple damage horde server was a fun gimmick to try. Having nearly everything kill you in a single strike is pretty huge.
I'm now experimenting with my own server in the opposite direction, effectively giving the players extra HP
Its even better when you can whip out the sword and kill him, and the arrow still tracks to his dead body.

I wish I recorded this. In Mountain Pass there's that wooden bridge across both hills, and in the middle is a few broken planks you fall through unless you jump. I saw some people on the opposite edge of the hole and stood in front of it with my shield. The first guy jumps at me to attack, hits my shield, then falls down the hole and dies. The second one after him has a longer weapon so I back up and put my shield away to bait him, and then when he jumped the gap and swung at me I ran forward, parried the hit, and he too fell to his death.
the raider voice where he says "time to DIEE" is fucking hilarious to me

Feels like there's a power gap between some of the voices. Barbarian is like worse Raider and Cruel is pretty limp.
I can't remember the last time I had a game where I just kept makin' fucking classes.
I half joked to myself I'd wind up with one for every weapon, but that's slowly becoming the reality.

Throwing axes are the best way to take down cavalry.
The only real throwing weapon is the maul.

So I was in a 3X damage horde mode server and someone thought it was a good idea to put spikes in front of our spawn base, right in front of some ramps.

I was lucky that I didn't fell for it, but the other 30 guys? not so much.
They've got to do something about those people who have skirts with big blue or red square emblems on them, it's a real pain in the ass in Frontline because it remains that colour regardless of team.
