Oh, that's a good catch. My mistake. The Halo 2 cockpit from the cutscenes had a similar format that you see in the apparently fan-made one. Maybe that's what they based it off of?

The "new" Pelican is probably a hybridized design of real world references like the UH60 and pre existing work, along with just making it fit with the external model. It really fits the signature shape folks

This Tweet fixes the main issue I have with Chief's new armour: that it looks like plastic. Definitely too dark, and I think Halo 3's coloration would be best, but I was disappointed that Infinite and 5 lost the gritty, metallic look of the armor that Halo 3/Reach/4 had.
Who cares, let the armor look bright, boohoo it doesn't look realistic, Chief fights little aliens that wear gas masks and when he shoots their head confetti comes out, it's a video game.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but didn't we already see this armor back when halo legends came out? Looks incredibly similar if not the same as the set john used in that 3d animated section.

Mjolnir GENIII is heavily inspired by the armor from The Package, but is primarily based on the Mark VI, with only the tiniest hint of Mark VI MOD, being a vague resemblance to the helmet's silhouette, the dots on the mouthguard, and the AI port.

I feel like Halo Wars 2's custom GENII Mark IV variant was a testbed to get fan approval for the silhouette/general design they were going with, since the armor bears little resemblance to Mark IV to begin with.
I'm so glad they let you type numbers for things like fov instead of a slider only.

Speaking for myself, I have no complaints whatsoever.
I'm alright with a slider if it tells you it's values (Killing Floor 2 & I think PAYDAY 2 are very guilty of this one), but it's always nice to have keyboard values recognised, especially if you want to be decimal-point precise (I can recall Bulletstorm being a bit of a wrestle when it came to it's option menu sliders).
