I wish I had more time to play the game. It’s the only game I can put the hours in and still have fun every time I play. It should get more attention though, it’s so much fun and rewarding
I have so many hours in this game and I'm still usually trash. It's fun though.

I like to think that my positioning and x-y-axis skills are pretty good, but for some reason, in 313 hours, I have never understood how the fuck to aerial properly.
Just throw yourself at the ball like an idiot until you start hitting it.
I couldn't aerial at the 300 hour mark.

Suggest grabbing Bakkesmod as well; can do some really cool stuff with it in freeplay/custom training.
Freeplay is good to just whack the ball and react to it.
Maybe that's my issue, I have zero confidence for aerials so I usually don't try to go for them.
I can vouch for bakkesmod being a great tool. I don't know what I was doing before I heard of it but free training has been so much better since I installed it.
Also shameless self promotion time D: I have a yt playlist where I keep useful rocket league videos for myself to look at if I need to practice or remember how to do something, but anyone is free to use it of course. I need to add some more to it I think.

how come I stop playing 1v1 for a couple of weeks and I seem to forget how to play it, yet I can hop into 3v3 and feel great regardless of how long it's been. yet 1v1 is the mode I play the most.
also even though all of the plank cars are now the same as the batmobile I still feel like I can't flick properly in them for some reason. I think I'm too used to the visuals of the batmobile as well as the hitbox.
I honsestly can't stand 1v1 solely because I feel like 2v2 and 3v3 are much more fun. Even with dumb teammates it still feels like a match with comebacks, but in 1v1s I feel like if I make one mistake that's a free goal.
i enjoy 1v1 because it's quite pure, all the mistakes are your fault so there's nobody to blame. just I seem to keep forgetting the 'rules' I usually stick to when I have a few weeks off it which is something that doesn't happen for other modes. no idea why
nvm I got my mojo back, I switched to octane and won a load of 1v1 games to get back to diamond 2. and I got my champ rewards in 2v2 finally. I think I just needed a change or something haha
