Why are they talking about GMod in the video comments, do people buy GMod thinking it's a video editor?
I can accept that people will use GMod less for making movies, if I was making movies I'd switch to SFM too. You've only got to look at the output to see that. But in my defence - GMod isn't trying to be anything like SFM.. it's a sandbox game. The fact that you can place ragdolls and take screenshots/videos is incidental, in the same way you can take screenshots/videos in any other game. It's just what people have been using it for because they haven't had any better options until now.
I don't envisage SFM hurting GMod's sales, I don't believe that people buy GMod especially to make videos. If anything it will bring more people into the engine, into the community, and increase sales.

I found GMod a fun stress toy and something to learn with too. Skinning, modeling, coding and developing more stuff into it.
So you need yet another fucking beta key to use this?
Come on this shit is not beta anymore.
This whole beta thing is getting annoying. It's encouraging people to sell the damn keys and make huge profit out of nothing.

So my computer meets the system requirements for the Filmmaker (Phenom II quad-core, ati 5770, 1920x1080 monitor res, 4gb RAM), but I'm out of state and won't have access to my computer until at least Saturday.
If I run the survey on my shitty laptop that doens't come close to meeting the requirements, will it affect getting a key?

Anybody remember the old tf2 machinima series "Payload" it went defunct a while back and the creator of it just announced that he probably will revive it. I wonder if any other defunct machinima series will be revived since this seems more polished, unlike hammer.
That SFM intro is so cool, it actually feels like something you'd see at the cinemas.

I would love to see Shelf Life come back. Those guys were amazing with just Garry's Mod, I would love to see what they can do with Source Filmmaker.
Oh man this was a great announcement. I have to get my hands on this. Too bad I'm not really into TF2 but I'd like to still learn the program anyway.
Hopefully this will support Gmod and I'm all set.
