This is my first video, the very first quote inserted video. It's too short, but please enjoy.
Thanks for the voice, Billy West.
I'm sorry it had to be done..
how'd you do those breathing animations and standing animations?
I imported the default standing idle sequences for the sway itself, then reposed the body parts in the time editor. They were also rigged with the default rig. The weapon draw and the death animation was very very rushed and looks kinda bad, I think I will redo them and add extra scenes.
I video'd my first SFM in TF2 last night and uploaded it today.

starting to bring in other source assets. if anyone knows how to get the L4D survivors to not crash the editor, that would be fantastic to know.

not possible because the L4D branch made changes to the model format, but didn't change the header.
so the SFM can't distinguish between regular and L4D branch models, and it'll think they're corrupted and it doesn't end well

before I go through the trouble, do you know if this applies to the L4D2 ones also?
Awhile ago I put together a storyboard kind of thing hoping I could get some decent animations imported from another application into the game. I couldn't get it working, but I still had the storyboard. Now that this is out I decided to make it in this.
There's no sound at the moment, but try to imagine various Looney Tunes sound effects and maybe even Benny Hill music.

Speaking of Looney Tunes sound effects, if anyone could point me towards a good resource for that kind of thing, it'd be much appreciated.
Miguel the Sniper
This gets funnier every time I watch it.
and it's on loop!
You should post this on the SFM community workshop thingo, it's awesome.

Your choice to watch in HD, but yeah my first test turned out good. Oh and the music was a midi inside the TF2 GCF so I just bothered to convert it to wav.

I was bored, decided to try out more "advanced" puppetering.
Here's the result.

My first finished thing in SFM. I know the end looks a bit wonky but i could not be arsed to fix it.
What do you guys think of this? My first real try at this shit
How can it be better?
The main problem I see is that while you do establish the setting with your opening shots, you don't manage to give me an idea where those guys are or where the tank is or where the guys are in relation to the tank.
Here's a suggestion: If one of your opening shots shows a specific location, such as that place with the poster of two guys holding hands, make sure that in the following shots of the men running by, we can see that poster somewhere in the background or something. This allows the viewer to understand the location.
Right now you show that poster prominently, then you show the guys running by a wall with a completely different poster on it. That serves no purpose but to make the action more confusing.
So here's what I spent 9 hours doing last night. It's all hand animated and I added in all the sounds were added in. (Apart from the Sniper)

How do you fix that obnoxious flashing lighting? Just noticed it.

A labour of love.
This has been probably said before, but stuff at this quality would make a really good full-length animated movie.
in this preview of a 5 minute film i'm making, we test SFM's ability to portray jazz:
yes i am aware of the fact that the pyro appears to be having a seizure
I would like to say that as a jazz musician/fanatic and TF2 player, I wholeheartedly adore this video. Giant Steps is a great tune too. Not my favorite and not would I have chosen, but it works!
Can't wait to see the end result. I'm heading off to sub now!

Second attempt here. I'm not as happy with it as I was with the first, and for whatever reason It always cut it out at the end no matter what I tried. It is still somewhat entertaining though.

A remake of one of my videos from the old SFM
Keep in mind it is work in progress, I have a lot of things to do, I also get new gfx card so I should be able to put some lights, ao and dof too.
