Re-created scene from Lethal Weapon 2 Here's the original
I can safely say I've got the hang of SFM now.
quick test and heavy WIP; first thing done on the editor; will still work on it
a little update on my progress so far how's this death animation? the other soldiers still need work, and the sound needs to be tuned
After 30 hours of SFM learning, I upload my first video I don't completely dislike. (That fucking bottom left front coat piece won't move correctly, and shot 2 is way too dark.) Maybe next I'll learn how to animate in Maya to make life easier.
I don't have a charming story for why I made this, I just did.
Just a little video to learn some things.
How do you guys render your videos? Directly through SFM, or do you export as an image sequence and compile in an external program? What codec, etc.? I had such a trouble with mine being too dark, too light, blah blah blah.
Okay I think it's done, not gonna fiddle around more with it. Time to make more western.
That was really well animated, especially the last part with the pyro.
This took me far longer than I would have preferred, but at least I got it out of the way so I could move on to something different.
DAS BOOOOOT
[editline]asda[/editline] Based on these videos.
Finally finished. I know the cubemaps are pink, I can't build them, SFM gives me a dll error when I try On steam: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=82804553&searchtext=
Build them in TF2 then put the map in SFM
-merge broken-
Build them in TF2 then put the map in SFM
That purple isn't the missing texture purple, the cubemaps work in TF2. It's the same bright stripe effect that's in other maps like coldfront.
Took a shot at the SFM and ended up with this (pardon the inside joke).
So, Heavy Jensen walks into a bar...
Nothing special, first animation:
Max, tell me something, you're the reason I wanted to animate with the source engine :(
This is 2 things: It is a teaser for something to come, and it is also a test of my abilities. I should probably go back and fix a couple of things, but think of this as an alpha.
Build them in TF2 then put the map in SFM
Buildcubemaps in sfm, restart, done.
my first post in this forums, yay! my first video too.
They're coming.
I tried throwing some custom art assets I have into the source filmmaker. Pretty terrible idea. IK rigs don't work with any of my character models. And you really don't want to animate without one.

Getting back in the saddle with making films.Importing breathing really does add a lot of life into films.
What song is that?
The Warrior Song by Sean Householder.
