He probably extracted phonemes first then played around with his face.
Yeah I did :\ what are you supposed to do? His tongue was shooting through his teeth. I was following along with those source tutorials but didn't want to make the same thing.

What you want to do is go into motion editor, and select the mouth and tongue for your model. Right click in the motion editor area, click Show Waveform. Then make a 0.1 or 0.2 time selection and drag it along the motion editor, while using phenome presets and hitting enter, then dragging the time selection to the next sound. Then you select all of time (or all the changes you just made to the motion editor, however long) and use the smooth preset a few times. That's what I do, I know it's not the only way. It's easy but tedious.
Can't believe I haven't seen this before.

I found out how fucking hard it is to animate. Hats of to they who can pull it off. I stick to lighting and camerawork.
-we got a video?- Super low quality budgety camera testing. I want to finish it later on though :) Lovely Metal Gear Solid scene.
My dream... mixing Metal Gear Solid with SFM... please finish :eng101: I've also made a poster parodying MGS but that's in another thread. If I knew the basics of animation I'd actually do it. Somehow I just can't understand how it works.

I literally cringed at 0:36, but nice job anyway.
Christ tongue flickering is absolutely the most humorous thing you can do with your face.

It normally shouldn't. I constantly hear echos in SFM as well

Shutter speed is fun to toy with. Now if only i could get this effect only on select models.
On a more serious note does somebody happen to know why does it echo at the end? It normally shouldn't. I constantly hear echos in SFM as well
It's because of the soundscapes. If you don't want echos, add a # before the sound path.
So do you guys ever tack on the SFM logo on your bigger stuff? Do you just do it in another editor or what?
I'm sorry
doing it in the motion editor is imo not recommended it looks kinda robotic, just use the graph editor for smooth transitions between phonemes
Maybe you should do a graph editor tutorial. I'm sure many people would appreciate it!
Maybe you should do a graph editor tutorial. I'm sure many people would appreciate it!
It's basically a keyframe system that's a total bitch to use.

I love this, saw it when you uploaded, well done! Oh, and this is the first thing ever that I did in sfm.
Probably should've turned down the aperture to zero for the first person bits.
Well it didn't turn out good as I hoped.
Probably should've turned down the aperture to zero for the first person bits.
So aperture is what controls the dof, couldnt figure that one out, thanks
